I just now figured out how to get my rich spike and pop to stop on my MS3 basic. After many attempts of changing VE table, ignition table, AFR table,settings in over-run EAE, the only way I got it to stop was turning off over-run fuel cut. Nothing else I did worked.

What is odd is, I could change when the spike pop would happen by changing the "after delay(s)" but never make it go away. This is with over-run on. Logs show PW at 0 and yet shortly after fuel cut, rich spike and pop. Now with over-run off, injectors are still on 3ms but no spike or pop.

I tuned my bottom rows to be a little lean, now I don't get the lean / rich / lean thing. Could also be better tuned EAE, but I think not. I do use fuel cut.

I tuned by turning fuel cut off, going through decels, and turning off logs. Then turned fuel cut back on, starting at 165*F.

I get a very light burble / crackle (not quite a pop). Not OEM but close enough and I kind of do like it.

I don't think it has anything to do with EAE because it happens so far off transition. Near a second after fuel cut. Which is were ever I make it. I tried .5 - 4 seconds for fuel cut, and no matter what, 1 second after cut, spike.

I will try tuning low VE with cut off. Thanks for the hint.

I had the same issue with MS3. Log shows no pw but still pops in transition fuel cut. No problems when fuel cut is turned off. Turned Progressive fuel cut on and pop and rich spike did go away. I dont see this option on fuel cut screenshots so this might be MS3 feature. I think this might be firmware issue. I have currnetly 1.3.2.

Why are all you non-ricers calling this an issue. I love my ricer blurble-pop. Even have a very soft transition into overrun for this one reason :-D

In this case it was more one pop or thump + lots of smoke. It ruins cat and may damage turbo, manifold and muffler. I prefer to tune correctly and then add flames and bangs.
