I bought an MS3 from Brain and am installing it this weekend. Everything went OK per Brain's instructions, until the part where you first turn on the car.

It fires right up, but the car idles at 3500RPM. I let it idle there for ~15sec and shut it off. Tried again, same result (see datalog). Is this normal before you set the timing in TunerStudio? I didn't set it yet, in case there is some other problem. Also, the AFRs were really lean (around 17) - not sure if that's relevant.

Any ideas what I should be looking for? The ECU install was pretty simple with the PNP harness, but I will double-check the wiring tomorrow.

 

Tune as well por favor. You're Idle PWM duty never changes, so I'm assuming you're never entering Closed-Loop.

 

MSQ attached. How long does it typically take to go into closed loop? I only ran the car for a few seconds.

 

your idle duty should be around 20%. as logged, that's stuck wide open.
