Default MS3/ MS3X installed and ALMOST working

Well, the car was running OK with the stock ECU and link piggyback, so I decided to take the big step and install the MS3 & MS3X (also piggyback).

It connects to everything just fine. All the sensors read OK. I get sync when cranking. But the engine won't catch and after a few seconds cranking stops with a misfire.

Setup:
- Stock ECU
- Stock injectors
- Stock coils
- MS3/3X as piggyback
- MS only deals with spark and fuel
- Stock ECU gets to do all the non-fun stuff like:
- Fuel pump
- Idle
- Fans
- Alternator
- AC

I took the settings for the most part from the 9900 mspnp settings. Figuring these should be safe.

Attached the tune and a seemingly useless log. Any ideas?

try changing fuel to "semi-sequential". if it works then you wired injectors backwards.

edit: looking at the log I think your cam/crank wiring is fucked up.

Sorry Brain - need to keep stock ECU for emissions! Next year I can go full-tilt MS3/ 3X.

Soviet: Just checked my wiring. I don't think I have the signals crossed. The signal levels were set to 2.5V on Crank and Cam inputs. It also does seem to sync.

My ML viewer is f'ed up right now. Trying to fix it. So I can't check what you're looking at in the log.

Do a composite and trigger log and post it here.
You might just need to adjust the VR pots on the MS3/MS3X or something

well then id start with skipping 3 pulses over just 1.

then id post a composite log here.


then post every single little detail about the MS3X you have and how it's wired and built.

I don't know what skipping 3 pulses instead of 1 actually does, but it did get my car running! Idling pig-rich at 1500rpm and some mean tip-in lean condition, but my car is running with a Megasquirt that I built myself. F**k yeah!

More dumb questions to come soon :-)
