Default MS3X testing with Jim Stim - No RPM Signal

Hi, newbie here, happy to have built me MS3X, now into the testing phase. Good news - TPS, MAT, O2, CLT all work nicely, however I don't seem to be able to get RPM

I have

1. Confirmed using led test I can get RPM on the JimStim
2. On the JimStim - Jumpered Primary Tach for VR signal, Jumpered 5V to Pullup on 2 and P, set dipswitch on for 2,3,6.
3. On the TS ignition control - setup spark mode = miata 99-05

Not sure what to try next, any help/ideas welcomed. Thanks very much

did you send the second trigger to pin 32 of the expander board?

Cool, That's sounds like something I should learn how to do - do I just hit "Start Logging" with everything hooked up ? (Sorry 4 Dumb Q's - just getting into this thing !) Thx

under the diganostics tab, yes, and then wait for a record to show up (you should see 1 of 1 on the bottom, or something like that)

OK, hooked up the 2nd trigger to Pin 32, still nothing. I made a few logs files I can see MAP and TPS moving as I turned them up and down in the time history. Still not RPM, not sure what line item to look at for crank and cam...

Some progress....

Found my JP7 jumper was not in place (I forgot the Cam is a Hall and the crank is a VR !) and after tweaking pot R11 I got a signal...Yay !

CL file attached.

I still dont see a RPM signal on the main tach, but I think this is progress in the right direction now....

OK ! Got it ! Looks like I was running my primary tach at 5v not 12v, Tuner studio is now synced and I have RPM's to play with ! Thanks for your help Braineack ! It took some trial and error but with the tip about the composite log that really helped !

Is there anything like a check list for things to test once you have RPM's ? I feel like I'm ready to test some things out with the Jimstim but not sure where to begin...

I'm also looking for a Fuel and spark table for a NA 1.8 with VVT, if anybody has anything close to get me started/running....

Thanks again !
