Default MSII a 1999-2000 NB?

Well I'm currently shopping to get a descent 1999-2000 NB to start as a daily driver then get moving up to a good 220+ RWHP turbo setup.

I have a MSII that I built to put on my Small Block Chevy, controlling ignition to the distributor, and running GM sensors. I have the 3 bar MAP, IAT, Coolant Temp as well.

What would I need to modify on my current board to make it a Plug and Play unit (any tutorials on MS-II NB setups)?

I see there is an adapter board available.

Hmm. I'll take a stab at what's probably not a comprehesive list:

1: Trigger input circuits- delete distributor pickup circuit, add inputs for crank and cam sensors.

2: Ignition outputs- delete high-current coil driver, add two logic-level output drivers.

3: Air conditioning.

4: Alternator control.

5: Relay driver for fans.

6: Tacho output circuit.

7: IAC control.

Hum.... seems that the majority of things are taken care of with Abe's PNP Adapter board.

Seems like that would be a smart way to go.

I also see DIYAutotune has there DIYPNP kit http://diyautotune.com/diypnp/apps/n...0-18bp-mt.html.

I'm leaning towards using this instead of redoing 50% of my MS-II board. In my skimming of the description it does eliminate the MAF but I don't see if it uses an On-Board MAP or uses an external (AKA my GM 3bar MAP).

The DIYPNP is incredibly easy, great support as well. Sell your current MSII to some one with a small block chevy.

Yeah I can't wait to get my miata, I'm already gathering parts. Got a buddy with a dead Conquest sitting for last 5 years, gonna pull the intercooler off it for $25 and a beer.

Does anyone have a link to a DIYPNP write up for an NB?

I see DIYAUTO has a setup chart http://diyautotune.com/diypnp/apps/n...0-18bp-mt.html.

I want to set it up for fan control, A/C, Alternator, and VICS. Do I simply follow the chart to wire all the jumpers to said harness pins?

I know theres a solution to invert the operation of the ignition drivers when starting / flashing and want to implement that also (LINK for DIYPNP Appliction?).

DIYPNP drivers are already inverted from the normal MS1 drive circuit.

What more of a writeup do you need for the DIYPNP? Follow their writeup and load the basemap and all will be well.

Im guessing the TPS sensor for the 99-00 NBs don't give megasquirt a problem?

Sorry to ask so many questions just really excited to get going on my soon to be miata.

This is no worry with the DIYPNP/Microsquirt.

Only any issue with the 1.6L, I started building my harnesses a certain way do you could upgrade to a vTPS easily, but you just had to make sure you unplug the oem one, else it locks the injectors fully open
