I was looking at other timing maps and comparing to my own. I noticed my timing is way more aggressive than the other maps I have been seeing. Is this too aggressive in your opinion?
Running 12psi on 2560. VVT motor. Dyno tuned by reputable tuner on 9psi
you're running ~28-29° at 100kPa and roughly 22° at 12psi.
so youre only retarding about 0.5° per psi... that seems a bit agressive.
also if you're running 12psi, why do you have a 177 and 198 kpa row? 12psi is ~184 kPa. you and your MS are interpolating between 177 and 198 to get your timing -- if there's your boost level, why not set a row for that value specifically so its not a guess to your final timing value when looking at your map?
honestly, if this was my map, I would have TS interpolate between that 198 row and the 98 row. It's also REALLY advanced at idle for some reason...
When I had it dyno tuned we had a mysterious boost leak so we ended at 9psi so thats probably why he didnt set a 184kpa row. I will try the interp and reduce timing at idle.
