Default need help megasquirt 1st timer

ive bought megasquirt diypnp 2nd hand off a member on here.
after 4 hours ive got it plugged in and all the com port figured out.
my questions are.
1. everytime you tune ms do you have to unplug the coil, when finish dc the laptop and plug the coil and start?
2. im running 1.8 from a 1990 harness and i would like to run vtps that was original from the 1.8 how would i go wiring that? if not do i just leave the tps unplugged?
3. after i connected ms and install tunerstudio and create new project. there seems to be a map on the tunerstudio already, am i able to start the car with that?
thanks for the help in advance!!

no, that's only when flashing firmware.

the DIYPNP might be already modded to accept the TPS signal form your 1.8L TPS. You'll have to have, first go find a spare tps pigtail for the 1.8L TPS, and then I can tell you how to splice it into your tps harness in the engine bay once you're ready.

when you connect, it should have promted that there was a mismatch and asked if you wanted to download from the controller or upload from your laptop. Which did you select? because had you uploaded the default TS tune up to the MS, then you could easily damage things in your car if you try starting on it.

once you connect, you'll download the map already on the MS.

depends on what the loaded tune was setup for. mainly the injector size and idle settings.

ait: they dont. unsure why you think differently.

fuse: correct, but again, depends if the diypnp you bought has the high side driver circuit setup or not.

tps: correct.

everything depends on how the unit was built, so id rather start from what's loaded.
