Gettin 52 kpa at idle(1200rpm). ill post up a log once i get home tonight. seems like the system is draining my battery, had to jump my car off this mornin altho it was cold as *****.
btw, im retarded, i forgot to ignore afr because i dont have a wideband yet. but go ahead and bash the nub, im still learning!
as far as the cable, i use what came with it, the male vga-like cable, not a usb. its working fine tho, my best purchase yet.

haven't had a chance to play with the idle settings in MS yet. I've got the idle screw turned all the way down(to the right). it was idling at 1600ish rpm before i got to the idle screw. It doesn't lope like a rotary anymore but there again, it doesnt idle at 800-900 like it did before.
I wouldn't doubt a vacuum leak somewhere, lots of possiblities after the head swap. I'll check with the idle settings in Megatune next time i get a chance. And give my lines another good look over. Actually couldn't i get some soapy water to put on the vacuum lines to check for leaks or does that not work at all for this situation? lol

I'm doubting a vacuum leak only because once I had one and it didn't idle high, it just wanted to die or hunt for idle unless I gave it gas. Not to say it isn't possible that a vacuum leak is causing your problems...
My memory is terrible, but dont you have to turn the idle screw to the left to lower the idle? I could be very wrong but I seem to remember having to turn it all the way to the left after my engine build to get it to idle right.

Mspnp ftw
Congrats Flier, I'm in Chattanooga and just got mine installed about three weeks ago. Still very unfamiliar with some things, have to finish the install on my LC-1 also. Can't wait for it to warm up so I can get my car dialed in. That or I need some heat in my garage.
This may or may not help you, and by no means am I an expert...I've richened up the intersections for 500, 900, and 1800rpm and 20, 26, and 34kpa to 49-50% and got both my idle and kpa down a bit. I'm idling at about 900-1000 right now with tuning of the idle screw and at around 26-28 kpa. You could def use a small amount of carb cleaner to find vac leaks if you think you have them.
Good Luck, I think a bunch of us MS newbs from TN should get together for the MS Meet in April down at DIY.

bad news, sounds like its knocking. either that or HLAs, only makes the sound at certain rpms, does it at idle, 2800-3000, and 4800-5600 rpm, might just be running to lean with the cold air. guna tinker with the map later on tonight.
the oil gauge on the dash that i never pay attention to because it never moves is now moving like crazy. itll go to low at idle or no throttle, then go to where it normally is under load. might have a missing vaccuum hose?

ooh, thats no good. that's a dummy gauge, and it only sinks when your oil pressure is below a really low amount.
I know the tune wouldn't cause knocking; I made sure it was running rich enough all the time. I didn't check your spark map very thoroughly though, I figured it was the stock pnp spark map. look at some other maps if you can find them on here and compare them, or post up a screenshot of yours.
Either way, none of that could really be related to your oil pressure gauge hopping around. It's hopefully a vaccuum problem. Worst case it's an oil pump problem. Did you replace your oil pump when you did the head swap?
Now, for your vaccuum problem, I feel like I had the hoses set right, but since I don't have one of those pesky intake manifold things, I can't be totally sure. Would anyone with a 99-00 car/head be kind enough to chime in as to where their megasquirt MAP lines plug in?
