I have it on my dash for almost 3 months now. I connected it as per instructions and i took everything out of the car. Water temp , boost, oilpressure, oil temp.. I kept AFR but in a nice hidden place.
it works great and you can connect up to 4 analog inputs. Shift light is a nice feature and the warnings are loud and visible.

Overall if you have a stand alone and dont want 5 gauges, get it.

Good info! How did you connect oil pressure / oil temp? Are you connecting through your standalone then sending to the gauge via CANBus? I've had some issues in terms of configuring the data from oil temp sensor -> ms3 -> CAN Gauge and showing a value that makes sense (i.e. CANBus showing 150 degree oil temp).

Overall I can attest that the gauge is awesome. The SW could use some tweaks, but Hendrik has been pretty good at communicating when I've had SW issues.

When i first got it, i bought a prosport premium pressure sensor, since it was recommended. I used the values provided by them and it worked like a charm. After 2 weeks i realized that i had a spare a analog input on the ms3 and connected it there and also used the oil pressure safety features. I used generic sensor inputs and used sensor 2. Then i went on can checked settings and configured sensor 2. The thing is that instead of 3.2 bar it displays 0.32 bar.

I havent really tried to fix it since it works, but it would be good to have it display 3.2.

As for the temperature problem i belive it's because the temp sensors are not linear and that in order for the value to be read properly you would have to input more values (for it to work properly on the temp range) than ms3 can take. Connect it directly to the canchecked (assuming you have the recommended sensor that has been tested) and follow the instructions to make it work and display the correct temperature on all the temp range.

Just installed this in my NB and I’m very impressed. Instead of replacing the oil gauge I put it in place of temp gauge. I was surprised by how good the resolution is. I did find want I think is a software bug, when I first started it up everything was perfect, AFR matched Megasquirt but when I changed temps to Fahanhite the AFR jumped into the 40,s 😳

PM me if you want to talk about the MaxxECU. Doesn’t appear to be much of a Miata network for it but my dyno guy recommended the Maxx/Race version for me and I couldn’t be happier.

I went back and forth with Hendrik and he’s been great on making sw adjustments to ensure the outputs match. Last time we spoke, he was working on a sw that would allow you to make the changes on the output data so it matches the ms3. I.e. 5v outputs from an oil pressure sensor to show proper values from sensor-> ms3 -> can gauge

I've had this for a while but only recently just got it setup in the car. Connected it to my MS3x and Prosport oil pressure sender. Since I'm fixing other issues on the car I haven't had time to troubleshoot my CANchecked issues. I have CAN connection which shows my TPS, RPM, Voltage, and possibly others correctly; however, my boost, CLT, AFR numbers are super out of whack. I reset the unit and changed units but still off. For example, my CLT is like 15000 lol. Boost ends up being like -9 when I'm at -20 psi in TunerStudio. I also haven't been able to get my oil pressure to work yet. I calibrated 0-150psi but I get strange readings. Might need to test my connections or fix ground. Besides these, I do like the gauge because it is very easy to use and clear to read. Hopefully I'll iron out these issues soon.

i had similar issues when I installed, and emailed Henrik the creator of this gauge. He sent me a couple updates to the firmware to fix the calculations. He was working on a software update that would allow the end user to make the calibrations, but haven’t heard from him since.

@CANchecked can provide an update?

Hendrik told me to do a firmware update: v3.0_8 --> v3.0_9i

This fixed the AFR and CLT issues that I had. I was an idiot and forgot my boost gauge read vacuum in in/Hg instead of psi so it was never off.

Still working on fixing my oil pressure sensor.

Just about done with my custom engine wiring harness. Finally installed the canchecked gauge, really looking forward to using it.I decided to install the adjuster in the cluster.

Hi folks,

For those who have this gauge, what is your latest firmware? I have is 3.09f_ms3 and Hendrik has not been responsive. Could someone please share any new firmware versions they are running?

Thanks!

What's the best place to get one of these shipped to the US right now?

I've had a good experience snagging it through BOFI Racing

Hendrik actually just responded. Once I am able to obtain the latest firmware, I'll let you all know. He mentioned that there are no new features, and the primary focus of updates are bug fixes.

For anyone that gets this be very careful with the 3D printed mounting structure. My face plate broke off during installation so just take extra care. I was able to glue it back on.
