Is there an optimal AFR during cranking?

I am now at 90% PW and am going to lower it more today. Logs show as low as 6-8afr, and I cheat by the 4th crank using throttle to lean and start.

Are the afr's real during cranking?

depends on your wbo2, mine takes 25-30 seconds to warmup and show actual results...and it doesn't run during cranking as the voltage drops too low.

lol, why do i feel like you set me up with decent prime and crank settings already brain? it seems to do fine but from a "cold" start (lowest it's been is around 40F) i need to crank it once, it will fire and run for less than a second... and turn the key to off, and it will start (very roughly, but still a start) on the second time and keep running...

sounds just like what everyone else says hmm? lol

This is at like 65F. It's worse at 40F. But yeah. Gonna sort it out this weekend hopefully.

Aem eugo. This is a hot restart cheating with throttle.

then your cranking values are fine and you need to tune ASE and Warmup enrinchments.

prime > crank > ase > warmup that's the order of enrichments.

try it again with a little throttle during cranking. if it starts much better, it's too fat when cranking and you need slightly less fuelz.

This just seems wayyy to fat to me.
And it's still taking 2 keyovers around 30-40F range to start. But still much much better.

Okay brains your making me learn.
So it goes:
1. Plug in everything WBO, ECU, vacc hose, ect.
2. Turn on laptop, TS, and load up the setting on the paper.
3. Once you're half way with the papers, do timing/cranking.
-if it cranks over, great! if not, you'll hate your life for a while. Not sure what to tell you here, other than have a battery charger charging your batt. and crank. and look at timing. Move in 2* increments til it works.

If not try to get timing close and mess with crank pulse width. And repeat.

Upon starting, you should be getting dandy and play around with Idle fueling. Then let VEAL play around as well. Look at what its doing to get a better sense of how to tune.

Hope this helps, I'm still having trouble starting it, using the accelerator to compensate. So back to cranking pulsewidths for me. Its not done, but driven across town with VEAL and feels great!
