Default Running a TruboKitty MS3X on Non-Turbo NA?

Guys

I have been working my way through building an MS3X using TruboKitty's Instructions. I am a total Noob when it comes to ECUs and tuning. I have completed the ECU and it seems to work. I was able to load firmware and a basemap on the bench.
I am now in the process of building the wiring harness. As I was putting it together, I am also looking to see why things are done like they are instead of just blindly following the instructions because I am trying to learn and understand. I thought that going into this
I could install this ECU in my 1991 project car and see if can get it to work and tinker with it a bit. I also wanted to be able to unplug the MS3X and simply be able to go back to the stock ECU. I do not have a turbo for the car yet.
Is it bad trying to install the MS3X without a turbo? I'm not thinking of doing this to try and get better performance out of the naturally aspirated engine, its just as a learning experience.
Am I thinking correct that I can just go back to the OEM ECU and reconnect any disconnected sensors or is this folly?

When building the harness, I noticed that for example PIN 2K on the ECU connector is called out as EBC. Hum, no turbo, no EBC. The IAT sensor wires into the connector along with the Boost Solenoid.
Would it be OK just to leave out the EBC connection?
Are there any other issues that I should consider?

I am going slow and just trying to learn as much as possible as I go.
I also came across this warning:"90-93 installations must DISCONNECT your stock TPS connector if you followed my wiring instructions for vTPS"
I did not see anything in the ECU build instructions about vTPS. I even went back and double checked that I didn't miss it.
I assume that you keep the stock TPS Hooked up?

The TruboKitty site encourages you to ask questions if you are unsure about anything so that's what I'm doing. I'm just not sure if this is the right place.
I read through some of the other members questions about their TruboKitty builds and it seems that they are way more knowledgeable about this stuff than I am.

Considering 99.9% of everyone here says, and probably has a ******* hundred times, "install the megasquirt before turbo" I think your research is suspect.

So, I applaud wanting to learn, but you seriously need to check your methods cause this is a big one to miss.

Most any feature added by megasquirt is routed over wiring remaining from things no longer used by megasquirt. MAF, power steering pressure, evaps, egr, all are free play. If you want to understand better you can find some wiring diagrams and follow 2K to where it eventually goes. If you are really hardcore make an excel sheet or photo sheet or something and go down every single one, labeling with functions till you know what it all is.

A good first start would be comparing the wiring for the TPS between a 90 and a 94. Might help you understand why you can't/shouldn't bother using a 90-93 TPS with a megasquirt.

Most people will say to install the standalone before the turbo. You are more likely to damage your car with the turbo than without it. Not everybody has an EBC with their turbo, so I it doesn't matter.
