Default Shield?
In Brain's diagrams, there are two points to ground the shield on the white wire. I know you're only supposed to ground one end of the shield, but why are there two ground points for it?

Nevermind, I misread the diagram, the line connecting the shield meant to take the shield from the wire on pin 24 and ground it to pin 2.

Why do you say not to use it?
