I wonder if base timing is set correctly? I recently played with a car that had very aggressive timing on the MS unit. The issue was that the base timing was off 10 degrees This was why the car could accept so much timing.

just loaded that and went for a spin, JESUS what a difference!! actually did a datalog and the boost level is up from 9.7 to 10. Not that that makes any sense but there it is.

Here in england we get 99 octane at the pump, so I figure if you guys are getting away with this map on 91-93, I have a better margin for safety. My 1.6 clutch is really starting to complain now....

The UK calculates octane differently from the US. I would guess 99 RON is roughly equivalent to 93-95 R+M.

Really? When I was running NA I loved it... even with boost I like it, it doesnt produce as much low end power as i like but I'll live with it.
I love the popping the most though.

bumping a useful thread

/r/ing a dyno tuned spark map from someone running stupid-high boost, on a low compression 1.8 on pump fuel.

i have 8.2:1 stock GTR compression, with the GTR vj23 turbo, and i'll be running ~25psi shortly. i ran 22-23 before but my tune was kind of "ball parked" since i had the stock map sensor... upgraded to a 3-bar so i'm free to run up to 29psi now

the thing is, none of you guys seem to be running over 230kpa... LOL

i just condensed the hell out of my spark map, after looking at mine and comparing it to here... most of the <100kpa rows can be eliminated. the values barely vary in each column... i condensed it to 3 rows and i expect it to run just fine lol.
