Default Upgrade from MS1 to MS2 FAIL.

Hi, I Just upgraded my MS. uploaded the firmware, loaded the base tune from mspnp.
The car can't start.
Seems it having problem getting the tach signal.
Can someone please give me some advise on it?

you cant use a ms1 basemap. try the attached.

remove the capacitor on the map-daddy.


nice to see one of my old builds still in service.

it was the ms2 base map.

and what is the map-daddy?

the rpm keep jumping 0 and 65535 rpm when i first load the base map.
and it stay at 0 rpm when i try to start up.

mapdaddy is your MAP sensor... its the thing with the vacuum hose connected.

The jumping RPM means you have an configuration error.

you have a conflict error. disable the EBC output.

pretty sure the diypnp basemap has that as an issue.



the map-daddy is your dual 4-bar map sensors thing.

Still no luck.

I got a conflict with boost control pins from the Mini terminal
And some warning saying the Afr and map value error which I may be able to fix them.

disable the Boost Controller like I said.

did you not calibrate your MAT, CLT, AFR, and TPS from the top menu?

I did the tps but not the other because I never need to do that on MS1.
I will do it and try .

for MAT use GM or rx7 AFM - Gm AIT or AFM respectivetly.
for CLT use RX7 CLT (s4 &s5)

How can I get those resistance data when I am having problem to start the car. The temperature stay the same and the Afr too.

??? just use the settings I told you to. It's already known, plus you wouldn't test resistance on the car, or with it running.

No signal on my cop.
Making it no spark.

Is there anything I need to do for cop?
The coil is from Toyota Mcr30
