Default at what rpm / kpa do you richen up the mixture?

DIY's guide says to switch over from 14.7:1 to 12.0:1 at 100kpa / 14psi. That's a little late if you ask me.

Also, where should I richen from 14.7:1 to say 13:1 when running the car NA?

I keep getting different afr ratios from different people. What does everyone here recommend for both NA and FI. One guy I know who tracks an STI in GT2 says to run at 12.5:1 safely at the track, my buddy at the porsche shop says 12.0, and Gary at TDR says 11.5-11.8:1. All anyone ever says for NA is "lean is mean." lol

Thanks for the help.

Where do you see that? That would be late....

But keep in mind 100kpa is atmospheric pressure, not 14.5psi. 14.5psi is about 200kpa....

oh ****. Thanks for the clarification. So 200kpa is 14.5psi.

that makes more sense now, considering I have my head out of my ***, and any boost gets a richer mixture.

Thanks.

the MAP values you see are absolute pressure. so remember that atmo is roughly 100kpa on flat land. So anything you deal with in megatune less than 100 kpa is your car in vac, and anything over 100 kpa your car is in boost. the most manifold pressure your car in NA trim can muster is exactly equal to atmospheric.

Is that for EGO tuning? I'm not familiar with that window.

yeah, it's AFR targets for the EGO correction under "more settings"

even if you dont ever use EGO, it give you an idea of what I'm shooting for based on RPM/kPa (basically the VE table will be the opposite colors as this)

I'd say you can even go a little leaner up top than Brain has it by maybe around .3-.5 AFR
