I was just getting ready to purchase the tuner studio software, but wasn't sure if I need to purchase the mega log viewer software as well as the tuner studio. Any input pros or cons will be helpful

You mean just the $25 fee to have autotune?
Cause TS is free otherwise.

And yes you need MLV in addition to the TS to have super awesome logging and reviewing of logs. Basically TS + MLV + autotune = awesomeness

 

Ok, I guess I'm thinking of this wrong then. I was going to purchase the tuner studio software ($60) because of the VEAL function (autotune ?) And then was prompted to "upgrade" to the included MegaLogViewer software ($80). Just want to make sure I'm getting the correct software and not buying something that I don't need and won't use.

I didn't see anything about a $25 fee.

Yup, he raised the price. $60 for TS, $30 for MLV, or $80 for both.

Still a pretty reasonable price, IMO, for what you're getting. Compare $60 to the value of dyno time.

Megalog, I've maybe only used it a handful of times (probably because I'm too lazy to look through logs), but I did buy it later, meaning I spent more after the fact. I should have just bought both from the beginning. Scatter plots are nice if you're having to determine your injector deadtime

advice is: buy both. Worth it
