I'm hoping for good results from my FMIC/meth setup once the IC's installed and I crank the boost up.

This thread never ends! MUAHAHAHAHAH
Anyhoo, I bought a stupid radio shack project box to throw some leds in to tell me when the WI turns on and to let me know when I am low on methanol. I will throw in some pictures when it's done.

Hi
I have a question about running WI and FMIC .
I have been told that if you inject water before the IC, that the water can condense in the IC . Is this true??
Where is the best place to inject the water on a duel system?
I have used WI on na engines that have had too much compression for pump gas and got good results, I've also ran cars with ,and without IC,s and been able to get more hp with the IC. So I can't understand why some of you guys bag either IC or WI, why not run both ??
Thanks Col

Typically anywhere between the intercooler outlet and throttle body works great.

I don't see any reason to run both, other than to increase pressure drop and use less water.

Failed WI (clogged nozzle) = Kaboom
Failed I/C (coupler blown off) = no Boost

I know what failure mode I would prefer.

Granted you could have some sort of warning/shutdown using a flow switch or something, so you could safe gaurd the engine that way while using WI.

Admit it Magna, you are just too ******* lazy to install and I/C

Im with magna, I just dont want to get stuck without water.

For the Intercooler. I would wire up a relay to a solenoid. When no water flow the solenoid pops open and noo boost. Yeah you could be sucking in unfiltered air eventually, but I would be that intake track is always at greater than atmomsphereic pressure.

That might work, of course i am to lazy to install a FMIC and deal with more lag and heatsaok issues and be forced to upgrade my radiator. But for now and a good while in the future i will just work on a bigger portable tank and keep buying 55 gallon drums of methanol

I have sent messages through the devil site but I can't send PM yet as I have to post 10 replys before being allowed to. I could just reply to things that I cant help with but I did not want to do that.
