A 6 speed to DC area would cost me on the order of 35 minutes + $60 for freight + $5 or so in supplies.
Cardboard box? Where do I get one? I packaged the diff I sent you pretty well, so I'm not afraid of shipping crap.

UPS, DHL, Fedex, other?

Thanks,
Frank

I think we get those boxes from U-Line, but there's plenty of places that sell cardboard boxes. We have a UPS account so we go that way, but I'd imagine that DHL would be the least costly if one had no account.

It's really not that bad to ship. Just use plenty of cardboard to keep the trans from being able to shift around. The other option is to stretch wrap the trans and use the spray foam stuff to form around it, but I'd imagine that's an expensive rig for a single shot use. Don't use bubble wrap or peanuts.

Or maybe you should read that it's sold.

Frank, I know what you said in the PM for materials cost, but if it takes more to package it so that it's safe, I'll definitely reimburse you for it.

I've got a bunch of boxes and crap from hoarding parts for my swap. Plus the post office has free priority mail boxes which make good fillers.

I once shipped a tranny basically rolled in cardboard and taped well, they really don't care as long as it doesn't get dirt or grease on them. And fedex is likely your best bet.
