1990-2005 MS3x, DIYPNP, And MS3Module PNP Assembly!!

29 Attachment(s)
I am offering my MegaSquirt building services to the public. I take orders on a first come, first serve basis. I do this in my spare time, so I will have a limit on the amount of orders we have at any given time. This allows me to work less stressful, work faster with less confusion, and ultimately will lessen the wait time from you sending payment to receiving your MS. Typically from payment to finished product takes a few days. I generally build these on the weekend and send out the next Monday.

What Megasquirt can do in a nutshell:
  • Remove the AFM/MAF
  • Complete control over your fuel (16x16 map)
  • Complete control over your spark (12x12 map)
  • PID Boost Control Abilities
  • Traction and Launch Control Abilities
  • Fan / Idle Control
  • A/C activation
What I am offering to you:
  • AIT sensor for AFM/MAF removal (-$30 to opt out and retain OEM meter)
  • All accessories and components for add-ons (such as the EBC solenoid)
  • Email you: installation instructions, custom files, your base map & answer any questions.
  • All firmware flashed with a map to your specs included (fuel/spark included)
  • Installation simply requires wiring the AIT sensor, WBo2, and a vacuum line then starting the car.
  • Map should be used as a base map only. You will need to fine tune it to your motor. DO NOT BOOST WITHOUT TUNING!
What you require to run a Megasquirt:

  • A laptop with serial port or USB port
  • Serial cable or USB-serial converter cable is required
  • About 5' of vacuum line for the internal MAP sensor (longer if 94+)
  • Tuner Studio Software (download for free)
  • One time use of a timing light is order to setup the MS correctly
Prices (includes AIT):

90-93 DIYPNP - $615 shipped
90-93 DIYPNP w/ sequential fueling - $640 shipped
94-97 DIYPNP - $640 shipped
90-05 MS3X - $795 shipped
90-05 MS3X w/ Knock Module - $890 shipped

MS3Pro Module PNP Unit Prices (includes AIT):

90-95 and 99-05 w/o baro - $1000 shipped $980 shipped
90-95 and 99-05 with baro - $1015 shipped $995 shipped
96-97 w/o baro - $1015 shipped $995 shipped
96-97 with baro - $1030 shipped $995 shipped

these use the same boards as the MS3Pro's, but I'm using Frank Devocht's adapter boards so you can install them in the stock ECU case. The case needs to be notched for USB and drilled for the MAP sensor. His board offers tons of expandibilty to easily upgrade the unit for BT, CAN, and even traction control with on-board VR conditioner circuits (extra parts/assembly required).

Options:

EBC boost solenoid ($55)

Your build specs:

I need your build specs in order to configure your basemap correctly so you can start the car and get tuning. I also need to know if you want an aluminum or stainless AIT sensor bung.

Your setup:

  • Your Model Year
  • Your injector size
  • wbo2 or narrowband
If you are interested in what I am offering then please send me a PM.

I'm almost certain the harness in pic #1 is yours. ;)

If you guys would like another pair of hands to help putting the boards together, I'd be glad to pitch in. It'll give me an excuse to build a JimStim and learn the software. Might be enough to push me over the edge and do one for myself.

levnubhin 12-07-2007 04:46 PM

I will be sending you guys a pm Jan 2nd. Do you require a deposit?, or better yet can i give you a deposit now to secure a spot in the 1st build?

Can other features such as making it run as a standalone be added later on?

I typically take full payment before the build, to buy all the parts, components and supplies. If you don't feel comfortable doing it that way, we can work things out, send pm.

any feature can be added later. standalone would require a new harness and a few mods (that could be done already), so that would only require one of us building you one and mailing it to you....we could easily work out a trade for the old one.

neogenesis2004 12-07-2007 04:55 PM

Payment is due in full upfront so that we can order supplies. Taking a deposit otherwise is just something I'm not comfortable with. Once you want one built for you just PM me.

As far as making it standalone, it would just require a few mods added on (idle, fans) and a change in the harness.

levnubhin 12-07-2007 05:01 PM

To be honest Brain it isnt a matter of feeling comfortable. I am taking the family to NY for 10 days for Xmas so i have to be careful how I spend money. Once I get back I will have no problem sending you full payment. I just hope you arent all booked up. I hate having this stupid MAF and I NEED MORE BOOST! :bigtu:

We won't have a problem getting you set up with a MS. The queue isn't meant to intimidate people, its just there to keep it fair for people who have expressed definate interest in the event we have a sudden flux of people who want them done.

levnubhin 12-07-2007 05:06 PM

Correct me if im wrong but it seems as if it is cheaper to make it a standalone then a piggyback. For a standalone you need both fan controls and the harness which comes to $60. The piggy back harness is $75. Am I missing something?

If you have A/C you can't run it standalone without a special circuit.

levnubhin 12-07-2007 05:12 PM

I dont have a/c at the moment, but I do have everything still hooked up and im thinking once we get back to summer time here in South Florida I might want a/c, so what is this circut you mentioned? I didnt see anything about it above.

neogenesis2004 12-07-2007 05:13 PM

Correct, which we can't do for you currently, and I have no real interest in investigating since the parallel harness can just let the stock ecu do it. Honestly, other than cost, there is no real reason to not just get the parallel harness. Its a must have for AC through us, and things like idle control the stock ecu just does better. We offer both though incase you want it.

Running standalone vs parallel with the MS will result in NO difference in control over fuel and spark. The two main reasons you are going with MS in the first place.

levnubhin 12-07-2007 05:14 PM

Sounds good guys, thanks for answering my questions. You will be hearing from me.

From now on everyone please direct you questions to PM. If we get a question that we think would benefit everyone to know we will edit the original post to include it and its answer.

I want to keep the thread from becoming cluttered and prevent it from taking a different direction from its purpose, to provide all of you with a cost effective means of controlling fuel and spark.

Miazda318 12-29-2007 01:16 PM

do i have to get a specialized person or shop to tune it or is that program pretty easy and i can tune it myself?
