Does this work with a VVT motor with its MBSP?

 

I knew that would come up...I'll have to email them a pic of the one I have and ask. They don't put part numbers on them unfortunately and the paperwork I have says nothing about specific applications other than what I put in my post.

 

I'm pretty sure it's a little different but a factory bpt (bp26) DOES HAVE a mbsp and it says it'll fit a bpt.

 

True, it is just a piece of sheetmetal that can be trimmed to fit if necessary.

 

I'm swapping out rods in a VVT motor, for MTuned rods.
Stand by while I check the MTuned rod profiles vs. stock.

I called Ishihara several times and left a message 2x for them to tell me what would happen if I installed a non MBSP scraper into an MBSP block, and got no response. I don't want to buy it and find out it's a compromise in my MBSP block.

There aren't for Carrillos, are they?

 

My guess is that you could slightly massage it for clearance on whatever rods you have. It's really not a high-tech piece...

 

Which Carrillos do you have?

I have an MBSP and MTuned rods. This piece won't work for me.

I was actually asking for a friend with a non MBSP block and Carillos.
The Carillos are more slender, so the non-Carillo scraper will have an extra gap - no massaging possible to shrink the gap.

 

Anyone...?
