Jamers242 and Legendary, your stands did ship on Tuesday. I'm also pleased to announce shipping costs have been reduced. As the first stand was more a prototype or beta as T2Cougar called it, the second run is somewhat different. I changed the location of the cuts in the legs so it's smaller when coming apart. Saved a couple of inches on packaging width. Since I charge actual shipping this saves you money can costs me none. It's a win-win. It also results in a small refund for the two orders just shipped.

Also the cut on the rear legs is now at 45 degrees instead of 90 degrees. This way when you sit on it in the low height mode it sits on the floor much more nicely.

Would it be just fine to design it using that? I would need your guys input on possible designs. And I've got a lot going on right now with limited space and time. Would anyone be willing to be a guinea pig? Say give me a down payment (50% final cost) before I begin the build and the rest just before shipping. If I did make something like this, what would those interested be willing to pay? The more input I could get from you guys the better!

Also just want to say thanks to everyone. And bear in mind, I have a 1990 miata and a 95 miata minus the chassis, but seriously the rest of the car is there. I got a tear down thread if you want to check it out. I pulled the engine and everything from underneath. Anyways....I can use those parts as jigs and build for you whatever you need. Though keep in mind, anything that can pose a serious liability issue I am unwilling to do at this time. For example a seat bracket adapter for racing seats.

This should get you thinking...
Openwheeler Racing Seat Driving Simulator Gaming Chair | eBay

It looks like it could use some reinforcement around the pedal area. The wheel mount would have to be made rigid with no slop...

The adjustment in that will cover 99% of the popular wheels.

If you could make it universal(ish) so people could mount any generic racing seat.

If you could make it fit any genaric racing seat. I think $150ish would be a fair price....

Yeah something like that would work. But if I went to a generic style then I might have to worry about patent infringements. As of right now I'd only be interested in doing one as a custom build for someone. And sourcing the square tubing that both fits well together and not super thick would be a bit of a pain. I would have to use metric and can't source that locally. I should be able to figure out a different way to do it though.

I have an extra driver side miata seat and I have really been wanting a seat to put a steering wheel and pedals on to play gran turismo 6. I am willing to be a guinea pig for a version of this that can fit a steering wheel and pedals. PM me your offer.

I've received and mounted mine. It looks alright and is pretty sturdy. Perfect fitment, it took literally less than 5 minutes to put it together. No possible movement when I'm sitting in it, rocking back and forth + sideways.

It's definitely nice to have somewhere to sit once in a while, when screwing around in the garage. I'm very pleased, Jared!
