MKTurbo Black Friday 2025 Sales Thread
So this is as best as I can do road tuning at the moment. The spark map listed is tuned with det cans. Im not sure if I could add more timing because the moment I heard any pings or pops I would reduce timing. I was just assuming that was knock. Also this is in 3rd gear at 13ish psi. According to the VD Im not making near as much power as I was with the 2560 at 12psi.(to be expected). I still have onset boost overshoot. Not too much but even with heavy porting it still wants to spike initally then settle no matter how much I work PID. As of right now I can only hit 14psi in 4-5, 2-3 12-13psi and 10 in 1st.

Don't worry, I will be making more soon. Won't be as cheap but there will be a few changes hopefully.
Is your exhaust tip a little smashed and not a perfectly round? If so both you and Bonds were damaged by UPS. I am thinking the UPS guy was pissed I dropped off 2 big boxes on the same day and kicked them or something.
No catnip, but it is very possible my kittens were playing in the box.
That is good to hear. I will start testing the studs in the holes before I send them out. The few manifolds I did test them in I had no problems. Is the stud not going down all the way or how exactly is it tight? Are you using the double nut method to screw the stud in if you can't do it by hand?

I think dbuck may be referring to the head flange, not the turbo flange. Sounds like it won't slip over the studs on the head, the way he said tightening the others to pull through.
In contrast, mine fit beautifully, a very nice manifold.
Just pressure tested the system and I'm still getting leaks at the compressor housing. I can't torque the bolts any more or I'll strip them. So far I'm not to impressed with the turbo but that's to be expected with you pay ~200 bucks for it. Just to compare my 2560 sealed like a boss. I'm not bashing a Chinacharger. It's not like this is a surprise. The leak is occurring with 3psi on the system so it's not leak I'm running 14psi through it

Might help some?
When I first noticed the bolts sticking through the compressor housing I thought that will need some thread sealing compound or something to seal properly. Maybe just a bit of semi drying gasket sealer on the threads before you install those 2 bolts.

I will have to figure out a better way to pack those so UPS can't bend them any. Maybe some sort of round wood piece to make sure it cant bend in. I believe Autozone or Advance Auto rent an exhaust expander tool that should be able to help straighten it if you don't want to cut it slightly shorter.
