I am jealous of this, you guys on the 2nd group buy are stoked. The one piece mid pipes are sweet Lars.

Are you going to ship the oil lines when the kit ships too

What ECU is that? It's way smaller than mine. It's going to be so much easier to zip tie under the dash!

He has a 1.6, so ecu goes under the passengers floor board. Only the NB's have ecu under the dash, and it is a royal pita to install it and such.

I have slowly been working as I have had time. The NA mid pipe has not been test fitted yet. I am hoping to do that this coming Sunday. The Megasquirt MegaMeet is this weekend so I have been prepping my 94 for that, and did not want to pull it apart to test fit the new mid pipe. I have been cutting weld el's to build manifolds. Right now I have enough cut for all the 1.8 manifolds, I need to cut weld el's for 2 more 1.6 manifolds.

I love how you keep taking pictures next to the burgwerners so there's more than 1 thing to please the eye in each pic :likecat:

One of those logs will be made with a t2 flange with the turbo on the bottom, for my 6258.

nigelt 10-17-2015 01:38 AM

Lookin' good! Have you thought about sending out the turbo before the rest of the setup is ready? That way we can grind away at the wastegate channel in preparation for the rest of the kit arriving.

I have had zero luck with convincing the people I get the turbos from to drop ship straight to you guys. You would think when I am going to buy 15 at once they would be a bit more helpful. I will be getting in contact with everyone on the list with some possible options sometime in the next week or two.

Getting the mid pipes is still the hold up at this point. Still hoping to get those the first weekend in November.

shuiend 10-20-2015 08:41 AM

I did the initial test fitting of the NA 1 piece mid pipe last night. It looked good. I am going to verify again on a second car to make sure tonight.

shuiend 10-21-2015 12:54 PM

Order for all the mid pipes has been places. I should be picking them up Saturday Nov 7th. I will be emailing the 3 people who bought NB setups shortly to work out some final details. Hoping to get the NB setups shipped by the end of November.

Sorry if this has been asked already, would you sell just the manifold and/or downpipe separate from the kit?

I don't think he is selling them separate as of now.

For you, I will make you a deal. $1500 shipped* for the manifold and downpipe AND I will throw in some free stuff. Like a turbo, midpipe, and axle back section. BUT WAIT there is more if you have a 1.8 you will get 2 EGR block off plates.

*shipped price is only valid in the lower 48 states of the United States of America.

I don't do any individualized pieces unless you are upgrading from a 1.6 to a 1.8, then I will offer to swap manifolds for a price. Or you offer me outrages amounts of money, I would be talking turbotim prices without the turbotim quality.

I keep costs low by offering everything together. It was designed to work as one complete system. Nothing was made to work with any other products out on the market. So unless you can weld and are planing to finish welding everything else yourself, it does not make sense to sell any of it separately. If you have the skills to weld you can just build everything yourself and save money that way. I have posted on here where I purchase all of my materials or how to find it.

patsmx5 10-22-2015 04:51 PM

I don't need this kit, but I think it's flipping AWESOME that you're building a tough/durable/cheap turbo kit. The market needs this.
