Yeah I am working on it all. This weekend weather is looking just about perfect out. So I am hoping to get the bottom 45degree bend on all the downpipes I am working on. Then get 2 or 3 downpipes completely tacked together with mid pipes also tacked. I am hoping additional hangers get to me on Friday. I got some more mufflers I need to get welded up.

Hey Larz just curious. How easy would it be to modify your manifold in the future if I decided to go with an EWG. Most of the turbos im looking at if I ever needed to replace the turbo for a T3 don't have an internal WG.

I stumbled across this in my research.

Mazda Miata Turbo | Tial MVS 38mm External Wastegate Install

Weld the stock wastegate closed. Cut a hole in the manifold for the ewg flange. Then route the pipe for the ewg. Not sure off the top of my head if it would be easier to put ewg on top or bottom of manifold, my best guess would be bottom.

Hangers finally showed up this week. Only took USPS about 2 weeks to deliver a 3 day priority package. I will be working a lot this weekend on getting stuff done. I did not get to working on more downpipes like I had hoped. Mostly because I had been working on other parts that needed to get done that are not glamorous. Like building 15 additional exhaust hanger brackets, and working on manifolds.

Also for everyone that has ordered an oil line setup and not already received it, there is a slight change. Since Andrew@TSE has released his new steel adapters for the oil feed port I have gotten one to try out. I like it much better then the brass Tee that I have been using. So now the TSE adapter will be a standard part in my oil line setup. For future customers the oil line setup price will be going up slightly. I don't know exactly how much yet, but should be marginal.

Awesome... when are you planning on having most of them completed by at this point?

Just trying to get a rough idea as I still have alot of work to do on my car haha

Will the oil line Tee be a BSPT or NPT thread? Im planning to use an autometer oil pressure gauge in my 96' and it has a 1/8" npt. I do have a BSPT to NPT adater.

Also the weather outside will be pretty nice this so im planning on installing my innovate Wideband and DIYpnp that i bought from Brain. Last time i checked the version that its running was 3.4 but on MS website they only of basemaps for up to 3.3. Should running auto tune get the car running good enough to drive?

Oil line tee has 1/8npt for oil feed line, and 1/8bspt for the stock oil pressure gauge.

From TrackSpeedEngineering

"This adapter threads into any 1/8"BSP port and provides an extra 1/8"NPT port for use with turbocharger oil feed lines, while still retaining your factory 1/8"BSPT oil pressure sender. Machined from mild steel and zinc-plated, this fitting is strong enough to withstand constant engine vibration (unlike brass tees). It has been machined to our specifications to maximize the cross-sectional area around the male end.

Standard male run tee style. 1/8"BSPT male run, 1/8"BSPT female run, 1/8"NPT female bull. "

Email braineack for a basemap for the DIYPNP you bought from him. That being said you should be able to load an older firmware one and get the car going with only minor tweaks. He should have also installed a MSQ before he sent out the MS.

Nice did the vendor agree to drop ship them? Hows the rest of the kit coming along?

Yep the distributor will drop ship for me now.

Currently I have 8 of 8 1.8 NA setups completely tacked together. Going to start on all the actual welding welding tonight and hopefully get a ton done this weekend. I need to get my 1.8 car back on the ground and out of the garage. So I can get my 1.6 car in and up on stands and get building on those.

shuiend 03-18-2016 09:55 AM

All 8 axles backs are fully welded together, all 8 mid pipes are fully welded, and 2 out of 8 down pipes are complete except for O2 bungs. I will keep working on the down pipes tonight and tomorrow. Hoping to get them all done and final test fitting on my car this weekend. Will also keep working on getting all the manifolds done. All the manifolds are completely tacked together, I am just doing all the final welding and finishing on the t3 flanges. Welding all the flanges on the manifolds takes a bit of time just due to going slow to keep flanges form warping. I am also working on getting all the additional exhaust hangers made for the mufflers. I have all the pieces of steel cut and the hangers cut to length. I just need to drill all the holes in them to bolt to the frame and weld on the hangers.

I am hoping to start shipping out all the 1.8 setups middle of next week. Will probably take me until the middle of the following week to get them all out the door. I am limited to shipping about one a day, due to only being able to fit one set of boxes in my car at a time. Most days I only have time to drop the boxes off at the UPS once before they close.

Then continuing working on the manifolds and hangers. I should be getting my 1.6 car into the garage sometime later this week once I have some friends over to help me roll the 1.8 out.

You really need to learn how to count. 7 mufflers, 10 midpipes, 9 downpipes. I'll take any excess for free, so you don 't have to scrap 'em :likecat:

You are sort of correct. There are 7 mufflers there, one was still on the car for test fitting. 8 of the 10 mid pipes are done, the other 2 do not have any flanges. 7 of the 8 completed down pipes were there, 1 more finished one was on the car, but the other 2 down pipes are just the upper half's.
