DIYPNP 99/00 w/wideband, laptop and other goodies
FULLY ASSEMBLED DIYPNP for 99/00 NB1 Miata!
Ditch the band-aidz and get yourself a full stand alone ecu! I'm going to post all the relevant links I can come up with to start. Please read them before you ask me questions. I'll ship anywhere in the US on your dime (buyer pays shipping) from Monterey, California. All this stuff was received back in January of 2012 so its 10 days short of 1 year old. Due to the massive issues I had with my bloody Rotrex supercharger, these parts only saw about 6,000 miles of use, and that is a generous guess. Payment through Paypal + 3.5%
I'm not going to lie, I did have a problem with the unit. There was an issue with a solder connection on one of the pins, but it was a super easy fix and Reverent & Scott helped me diagnose and repair it. See this thread: https://www.miataturbo.net/megasquir...-diypnp-68814/
ON TO THE DETAILS!
Its this product here:
DIYPNP Nippon Denso 76pin Unassembled Kit DIYAutoTune.com
Assembled by and purchased from here:
https://www.miataturbo.net/miata-par...ld-ms3x-14598/
Some application and configuration can be found here:
DIYPNP MegaSquirt installation for the Mazda Miata
It includes mods for sequential injection:
DIYPNP Sequential Injection Kit DIYAutoTune.com
It includes a GM IAT & pigtail so you can eliminate your MAF:
MSPNP and DIYPNP IAT Sensor Kit - Steel Bung DIYAutoTune.com
(Note: My pigtail is assembled)
I'll include a Gigaware Serial to USB converter:
https://www.radioshack.com/product/i...ductId=3120513
AND it includes an AEM 30-4100 UEGO wideband gauge & sensor:
Digital Wideband Air/Fuel Gauge - Wideband O2 UEGO, Water/Methanol, Stand Alone Engine Management, Piggyback F/IC, Tru Boost Controller, Gauges, Automotive Performance Electronics
...and I'll even include the IBM T43 I've been using for tuning, because I love you so much
It also includes the internal mods for NB alternator control & Air Conditioning
Ok, everyone loves photos... here are some real (shitty) pictures of the mess:
"The Package"
DIYPNP, IAT, Serial adapter
AEM UEGO. Prewierd to the DB15 connector and I'll even put it back in the factory box with the instructions. Notice: All faces and bezels included but NO SENSOR BUNG. Sensor is not shown, but is included.
Another shot, this time showing the USB adapter in its package and the laptop charger. I'll include the little power brick I used for the DIYPNP so you can power it on your desk. Genuine Mazda ZOOM-ZOOM sticker included, generally worth 10fps with supporting mods (K&N sticker)
It looks like a laptop
Here are the specs. I believe it has 1gb of ram. It's no barn burner, but it gets the job done. Battery lasts about 1-1.5hrs. Has fresh install of Windows XP SP3. Fully activated with the XP key on the bottom of the unit. No pirate **** here. It has the free version of MegaLogViewer and TunerStudio MS installed. I will include 's instructions PDF.
The DIYPNP should be running the 3.2.1 firmware from DIYAutoTune. The laptop has no "tuning project" started, but I will include mine in a zip file on the desktop. The DIYPNP currently has MY bone stock 2000 BP4W N/A street tune loaded on it. It should be pretty close to starting your car out of the box with stock injectors, but I recommend YOU TUNE IT BEFORE YOU DRIVE ON IT!
This is a used item, working when I pulled it out of my car. No warranty is offered or implied with any of these items. If you blow up your car with this, its your own damn fault, don't come crying to me.
Package deal: DIYPNP, prewired AEM UEGO, Serial to USB adapter, bench power adapter and IBM T43 tuning laptop: $650
If you want to call dibs, that's fine but you better be ready to pay. I can PM you my paypal address. If you have questions, please ask them here. I'll answer them to the best of my ability or ridicule you for not reading the above info and links.

Not necessarily, but I figured it would make a great "one and done" setup for someone out there seeing as its all pre-wired and ready to go.
What specifically are you interested in? PM me and we can kick something around. I've got a couple of PMs but there is too much blood in my alcohol system to respond to them coherently at the moment. I promise I'll respond and prioritize in order received once I'm hungover (tomorrow)
Also: is there any interest in cheap laptops like this? I think I've got about 20 or 30 of the damn things stacked in the garage at this point.

Sure, I've got a damn mountain of them
Jesus, why does my phone camera suck so much now?
No, I'm not a hoarder. When we moved to Windows 7, we replaced all the laptops in the company with new Lenovo T400 units. My work was going to recycle these but the LCDs and batteries technically make them "hazardous waste" or "e-waste" and no one wanted to come pick them up. Most of them work just fine, but they need some cleanup. I offered to haul them off and give them good homes and my boss agreed.
A quick survey shows 26 T4x series machines in the one pile, that's T40, T41, T42 and T43 units. Unfortunately I only have about 14 T4x series power bricks, so that limits things. I may have more in a box somewhere. I'd be happy to throw Ubuntu on them and sell them off cheap. I could install XP on them but I'd charge extra because I hate installing XP and it takes for fricking ever.
I'll get some cleaned up and start another thread in the Stuff for sale/trade section after I get this lot sold.

Cool, assuming shipping isn't much more than that, I think I'll take it. I don't think I can PM on here, since I don't have enough posts, but you can email me at wats0252(at)kettering.edu. Or if you're on CR.net, you could PM me, same screen name.

One PM dropped on me already, I've got another I'm waiting to hear back from. I'll give him 48hrs, from like, now. Acedeuce802 you're up after that, followed by Thirdteen.
FYI: Shipping looks like its going to be between $28-$34 anywhere in conus via USPS or UPS Ground. Sorry my shipping estimate was off. Thanks guys!
