Default Do I need a wideband?

I just bought a greddy turbo kit, and was wondering should I buy a wideband? I am going to run about 5 to 5.5 lbs of boost, and just stay there for a while. I already have a upgraded down pipe, and a fmic. I will be buying bipes soon. I will just be running the 12:1 fmu as it came in the kit. So would it be wise for me to buy a wideband? Im just not sure if I will need it at such low boost, but I also want to make sure I do not mess up my motor. So what do you guys think? For 5.5 lbs of boost, will I need a wideband?

It may not be absolutely necessary, but it is ALWAYS a good idea. If not for anything else, its good for peace of mind, knowing all the band aid fixes you are doing are actually doing the fixing they are supposed to be.

Honestly no you do not NEED one, with that setup 6 psi should be just fine as long as you listen for knock. Though i still recommend a wb02, especially because with some 1.8 tan tops you could be running around 8psi- but you wont know if your car is running too rich/lean without one.

If you have the money to get one. Just get one. I would!

The stock greddy kit won't require a WB, but a WB should be your first "upgrade" purchase. I recommend the Innovate LC-1 over the AEM UEGO.
