Default New Exhaust - CEL turning on

Yesterday i installed Tony DP and custom 2.5" exhaust w/ magnaflow muffler (sounds great, turbo making boost at lower rpms now). When doing the install i pulled the wire off my o2 sensor, and was unable to salvage it. I replaced it with a universal bosch cheap 1 wire sensor.

Now when driving for about 10 minutes my CEL light pops on and stays on. My airbag light doesn't flash or anything, just the cel light. When i kill the engine and restart the CEL light is off and then pops on again after about 10 minutes of driving. I've searched the forum and read that some people have had similar experiences, just something to do with a cold start??? Anyways should i be concerned with this or just ignore it until i get a wb02??

Also all those posts i read about boost spike with a free flowing exhaust were right, i'm getting a spike up to 6 psi and then it backs down to 5-5.5.

p.s. tony makes a sweet dp i ordered mine and got it 5 days later!

that sounds like the sensor. Are you sure your connection is good. I routed mine to close to the exhaust manifold and it burned the wire causing the same problem

I plugged it in, but I did have a problem when i was crimping the connection. I thought i got it right but i will re-check today and make sure its a solid connection. If for some reason the connection was bad, would the engine be running rich or lean because its not getting a signal from the 02 sensor?
