Facebook has ruined me, I've lost my forum ninja skills.

There are some investment housings still in Borg's inventory, as well as in their distributor's inventory, but there is no way to tell what turbo has what style of housing unless you physically open each box and check.
Yay! My sand cast makes me a special and unique snowflake!

Are you finding that the shell mold housings have better clearances around the bolt holes? Thank god BW discontinued the sand cast, its an insult to the rest of the turbo. The shitshow that I went through to get proper stud and nut clearance on my sand cast housing was ridiculous. I'm still not sure I trust my handmade clearance cuts and I've considered picking up another housing several times, but only if the clearances are better.

I have a sand cast housing here too, and the clearance between that and the shell mold housing looks pretty similar, although that's without actually bolting it up. I can get you a shell mold housing easily - the BW rep said that the completed turbos in their inventory have a mix of investment and shell mold, but the bare housings should all be shell mold by this point.

If I find myself in Sunnyvale during business hours I'll try to remember to bring mine over so we can rub our housings together.

you had to do special clearance stuff? My sand cast worked as delivered except that I had to put one stud in with the short side facing the turbo and I have to make sure that I start threading that nut on first while the turbo is not pressed against the flange.

Yes, there was a huge mismatched seam that ran right through the area that was supposed to be clearance for the nut. I couldn't even fit the nut in that space until I carved out a shitload of that cast stainless. I'm still not happy with the clearance, but at least now the turbo is bolted to the manifold. There are also mismatches inside the housing and there were 1/16" tall razor sharp "spikes" all over the walls just inside the inlet just past the flange. I managed to remove a bunch of them a tungsten bit in my Dremel, but I don't have enough throw to get all of them. There are pics buried somewhere in my build thread.

I'm pretty excited. Just by seeing where the turbo sits right now, do you think the FM heat shield over the downpipe/turbine would fit there still? Looks like it just moves the turbo forward.

I have no idea. Understandably, we have no plans to test our competitors' components for fitment with our kit.

They say you should call a doctor for erections lasting more than 4 hours. What happens if I stay rock hard until delivery of the kit?
