what size are you using and how much boost and timing are you running? debating if I should keep mine or go bigger for 15psi.

I have the npr small, nice big intercooler for the miata.
Just use 2 hangers from the airco mounting points.
I use 2 inch from turbo to ic , 2.5 inch intercooler to trottlebody.
Both sides off the ic i run a 135degrees 2.5 inch coupler (really nice for this ic).

Boost for now at 6 psi controlled by default link ecu timing settings..
On the (old)greddy setup i ran 15 psi, no problem for the ic...
A lot better than the saab 900 ic i used.

I've got a small NPR. I am only at 8 psi, but that is clutch and rear end limited at the moment only. I run a TEC3, so timing is a non issue for me. I think it is adequate cooling for pretty much any turbo on a miata. I believe that is what Bryan Downs used on his car that ran low 11's

FWIW, I run a Starion @ 18psi with no heat soak / ping issues.

As said, even the 'small' NPR intercooler is good enough for any turboed Miata.

Do you have any pictures of the amount you had to notch your hood? Are you still running the same over the top setup?

I wonder if you could avoid notching the hood if you were to elimiate the hard pipe that goes over the rad (or a portion of it) and use a silicone coupler?

I'm really thinking about doing this with my Jim -B's pipes ... thanks for posting that!

I run the NPR small (which is a realtive description). I have a Saab ICas well on the workbench which I plan to put on one of my other Miatas when it gets boosted.
