Well I already failed, but I goto a very honorable shop in my area, and was able to pass the second time they tried ran the emissions test.

I wish I had an "honorable" shop near me

dude i own v6 stangs in N/A form, they'll be sinch. but dont know about the srt4, those things haul...even if lightly modded.

but on another note, i was planning on getting to base greddy status (~6psi) and see how the stock would hold up, but seeing as how my stock clutch slips like no other right now (slightly modded N/A), pretty much threw that idea out the window. Now i've got a ACT Extreme 4 puck in my closet, just waiting for the greddy box to come.....that'll be a GREAT day.

If you call 5.5sec 0-60 slow, ya an SRT-4 is slow.

If you call a turbo'd front wheel drive economy car gay, ya SRT-4s are gay.

I find it a little ironic that someone who drives a Miata is calling another car gay. Pot/Kettle.

unmodded a turbo miata can easily keep up; 14-14.5 1/4. But they take to mods nicely.

An SRT-4 IS a fast car. I'm pretty surprised that you guys, miata owners - a car that runs a 17 second 1/4 mile out of the box, are calling the SRT-4 a slow car... I've test driven one, its fast. An EVO 8 or STI could beat it, but its got tons of bang for the buck and sure as heck will stomp all over any miata that doesn't have a whole lot of boost behind it. I'm not saying its some end-all super car, it certaintly isn't.
I personally hate SRT-4's - I think they look horrible, and I think that its pointless to wrap a ton of power onto a front wheel drive powertrain that is inherently limited by its drivetrain setup. They aren't 'sports cars' in my book, but its pretty ignorant to say SRT-4's are 'gay' or slow'...

Don't call them slow... they aren't

The 2000 civic SI w/ a turbo was a trend in the young tuner market (16-20ish)... the dodge SRT-4 seems to be the new trend.

SRT-4s = new B16a/turbo civics.. Random thought of the day.

And there are hundreds more just like it, thousands in the 350hp range. Hell I think all but a very few miatas around here would get laid to waste by even a stocker.
Same with those damn cobalt SS's.

Maybe it the people around here who drive them that i hate. There is one kid with an srt 4 that flys up my street like 3 times a week, going like 50-60 mph. Its a realy small street, all houses nexat to a park. Lots of little kids, dog and me working on my ca rin the street. I hate it. Im sure if i got to go in a 450 hp one it would quickly change my mind. I guess no matter what there is someone to **** up any car.
