I have that on my95 and it's been solid. Works with honda and subaru oil filters too.

silly question but have you checked out your oil temps after a "spirited" drive to see if you even need an oil cooler?

My own experience was quite different. I retrofitted a 1.8-style oil thingamabob onto my '92 engine, and noticed a fairly significant improvement in oil warmup times. This was during winter / spring in San Diego, where overnight lows were typically in the 40s-60s.
