That Catfish has an olf old old Eaton M45 in it. With the pulley shape noone makes. There is no way it is making 250bhp unless he is doing some crazy things....

that being said I'm rebuilding a pro3 on MCS with the trailing arms powder coated pink. Should be nice when finished.
The rear semi-link trailing arms are such a garbage design too. The straw that broke the camels back for me was the brand new front control arm dropping out of the subframe because of a ball joint failure. Replacing replacement parts is not my idea of sustainable. Quality is suffering in major ways. Replacing bum brand new giubo's too. F that.

That's what you get for buying FCP Groton off eBay, instead of OE BMW Parts?

Yea too bad these where from Pelican. I didn't want to mess around with no name as when switching to 95 e36m3 front brakes/5 lug conversion it was a less easy part to find. Didn't bother with ebay and usually only ordered from Pelican, Turner and rarely ECS.

Either way, the car was an uphill battle and never felt as good as my old impreza. It was nice, but just wasn't for me.

Strange. The E36 ball joints (and E30 for that matter) don't really have a history of failing. Sometimes **** just happens and you get bad parts. Especially considering the ball joints on the E36 were designed for a car nearly 400lbs heavier.

It's stumped me for a while. I think the only explanation I can think of now (which is after years of putting it to rest) is that the uhmw engine mounts I used might have rattled the nut loose under operation, which might have introduced excessive lateral loading on the ball joint shaft (arms where mounted with the treehouse racing lollipops). Idid strap a simple cantilever and accelerometer to different points of the car to measure vibration in labview, but then I was in Germany for a year so the car was under the care of a friend. IIRC the 95 arms had a caster difference to the rest of the e36m3 bits that made it work for the e30. It's been a while, I leave it at that.

Found on the local Miata Facebook group. I'm not going to scrape the ad since it's a mile long, but needless to say the mod list as impressive as the pictures suggest.

That is quite impressive...Not a fan of the hashtags, but to each their own.

It needs to be raised and different wheels, but the color is perfect.

Anyone want a really nice NB for cheap?

2001 Mazda Miata2001 Mazda Miata - $4200 (Creston, IA)

Very well kept 2001 Miata. 152000 miles, 2 new tires, always garaged and well maintained. Very clean. Bose Stereo System, 6 speed manual transmission.

I'd of bought this one, but the ad had been up forever and she wasn't answering the phone or e-mails...

Looks like a great deal. Is she answering calls and emails now?

Not sure, didn't try. It was posted today after being off CL for a week, and it was at $4700 before. Figure now's probably someone's best chance.

Anyone else see the FCM car on CL? Dude wants 20 G's for a salvaged 100k+ mile stock engined NA. Obviously has some nice goodies on it, but seriously. What can you buy for 20k these days? FD RX7? E46 M3? For 20k you can buy a cheap tub and build a ******* weapon of a Miata. I'm sure the owner of FatCat Motorsports is a great guy, but come on.. I think this is a bit out of line price wise.

The pricing on his car is in line with the pricing on his shocks
