Aidan's loose oily bunghole actually runs a track lap
It's a new turbo, right? I wouldn't expect it to be bad out of the box, but if it's leaking oil into the turbine that will be obvious once you pull the downpipe.

That's a separate issue. 5psi spring was maxing at 15psi instead of the 30 it would do before. It was about 30* warmer, but something else I need to look into. Going to check wastegate preload, and maybe grab a spare solenoid to test. Wonder if these get worse with heat.

Spoke to turbosmart and they are sending me a new one. Need to figure out why it wore so much.
Shaft diameter: 6.28mm. Current bushing diameter: 7.28mm. Starting bushing diameter: 6.42mm (@Mobius)

Any thoughts on trying one of these Turbonetics actuators instead?
From what i read, the Forge Motorsports actuators had also developed lower port leak issues. You are the first i have seen with a Turbosmart actuator leaking at the lower port. I am curious to see if Turbosmart will be able to tell you why it wore out and started leaking. Is it a heat related acceleration in wear? Actuator rod alignment issue? Or something else entirely different?

They are actually just sending me a replacement lower bushing. I'm going to replace it myself. I'm going to try and realign the actuator better this time and see how it goes. But the failure did coincide with my track day.
There was bronze/brass dust everywhere. Inside the actuator. On the rod. Etc.
Might also try and make a heat shield for it.

I'll take a video this evening. But the design appears to be setup to handle misalignment. But maybe not well enough. Or maybe not with the heat from the track.

Ok, with my modified crappy 2 port cans, similar to the forge linked above. I need to get the alignment all set, then tighten the nuts that mount it to the bracket.
I am not impressed with their o ringed bushing seal. I used a washer with a grommet inside it, crushed by the stud plate and outer housing, when tightened to the bracket. I used faucet and valve lube on the shaft and inside the grommets. I made a crappy heat shield too.
