Default Bad vibration

ISo the first time i started having problems was during some hard driving and some bad noises started coming from the diff (welded 1.6) After it happened the first time it would only come back when i was beating on it. Sounds like a rock going between the ring and pinion . So i found a vlsd and installed it today. Drove it around and thought it was fixed. I got on it hard and the same sound came back im thinking it could be a bad u-joint but if i put the clutch in it goes away. Could my trans be done? I can feel the vibration by the back of the center counsol. I'm gunna try my spare driveshaft tomorrow and see if it goes away.

well u-joints were fine, swapped it out anyways and still the same. Makes the sound almost any gear/rpm. accelerating, downshifting, and even between shifts. guessing its the trans could it be the axles? I just dont seem to feel it in the shifter. Also it seems to start doing it after the cars good and warm. I still have great oil pressure and the motor pulls good.

It's not your axles if it goes away when you put the clutch in. Take that transmission out and have a look.

well tranny was just inspected by local tranny shop and its in great shape........ so thats diff, drive shaft, tranny all okay. It was doing it between shifts the last time i drove it before removing the trans, So when the clutch is in its still happening. Now i was looking at the clutch/flywheel and noticed my freaken pilot bearing was out of the flywheel, so i pressed it back in but its not damaged or anything it looks as if the trans pulled it out during removal. It sits pretty snug inside the flywheel, just as tight as any other pilot bearing ive pressed in. so the tranny is going back in tonight/tomorrrow. Only other thing was my manifold had a bad crack in it but i cant see it moving enough for the exhaust to be hitting and cant see any wear on the system. With the sound its making there would need to be some major carnage somewhere.
