Default Turbo but no boost

I just turbo'ed my 1996 Miata unfortunately its not going into boost. Things I have done so far: changed spark plugs, spark plug wires, doubled check the timing, and checked for boost/vacuum leaks and checked the over boost protection. It drives but sputters and doesn't go into boost. Any help would be appreciated. Attached is my msq and log file.

Car mods: Begi manifold and down pipe, Garrett gt2560(flyin miata), Grams 550cc injectors, flyin miata intercooler/piping, MSPNP2, innovate wideband mtx, currently open downpipe.

1. Does the car idle?
2. What map are you running?
3. Did you tune the map at all, or just load it and run it?

Can't look at the msq until tonight.

I used the map that was provided with the mspnp2 adjusted the timing, reset Req.fuel for the 550cc injectors, and yes the compressor has a blade. Ran it a bit with auto tune function.

How did you set the timing?
Your exact process.

The base map is good enough to get it running, not boost. Not even running good, it just gets the car started, more or less. Boost now ? You can't do that. You will ruin your engine. You need to get the car running well, without boost first. Especially if you have never tuned before. Tie the wastegate open. Set over boost protection to 110 kpa. Cut spark and fuel.

I followed the guide from megasquirtpnp.com to set the timing. This is the second turbo Miata project I worked on. For the first project I did the same thing set timing, adjust req.fuel, run autotune lightly until it's stable enough to drive to a shop to get car tuned. Car idles fine right now.

Drive it more on autotune ? Sputtering sounds like a poor tune. Especially if it idles fine.

I think it is less of a MS problem and more of the boost leak or something along those lines. Unless you have overboost set extremely low the MS won't stop you from making boost even if you have bad fuel settings.

Your right, but he hasn't said weather or not it even runs well, when less than 100kpa.

The car runs well initially it was running rich. When I slowly start to add load and when it should go into boost it slightly sputters and sometimes sputters hard but overall light sputter and doesn't go into boost. I checked for boost leak and I don't see any major signs of boost leak.

Sounds like the tune just needs work. Wire the wastegate open and tune until it runs well. If it sputters under 100 kpa, it sure as hell won't build boost very good, if at all.

What does "runs well initially " mean? Wire open the gate. Tune for 100 kpa an below.

Sputtering could be a number of things. Take the turbo out of the equation.

How did you check for boost leaks?

Ops I means runs well under light load. I'm using flyin Miata intercooler so there aren't too any points of failure but at each point of potential leak I listen to hear if there's any hissing and spray a bit of soapy water to see if it bubbles.

Andrew from trackspeed helped me trouble shoot the issue and found a huge exhaust leak at the exhaust manifold. I'm taking out the manifold to get it machined because it is warped and will keep y'all posted with results. Cheers!

Smart people: Will that effect the AFR readings he was getting? I'm trying to visualize it.

how the hell did you miss a huge exhaust leak that was big enough to prevent it from going into boost??
