MCM "Turbocharged vs Supercharged" MX5 episode
That's pretty cool, I hope he gets lots of business as a result (seems to be making quality product from what I've seen)
The RHD folks are so extremely lucky with turbo/hotside placement and routing.

That NB-FL is like the opposite of mine, utterly rust free!
I hope they will port the wastegate of that GT2560R before mounting it, other than that it looks like two decent builds

There was no mention of what size Rotrex they are going to run. Maybe that will be in the next episode. However, it is a Kraftwerks kit, so most likely a C30-74. Mobius only got 230/166 out of his C30-74 and his had a 949 CNC head, IIRC. So the turbo should easily kill this in this comparison.

I had a Canadian friend visit me for Xmas one year and he was gobsmacked with the rust-free condition of many of our older cars.
I was living in Adelaide at the time which is hot and dry so even 30 year old cars that haven't spent much time at/near the beach and are looked after don't rust much (unless it's an Alfa, they seemed to be designed to rust).

As an owner of a Supercharged VVT powered car with about 200hp and a NitroDann turboed car with many more powers, I feel like I already know the answer.
However, the cars are very different. I loved the SC car on the street and twisty public roads.
The NitroDann Turbo setup is a neat kit.

I know what happens..
These guys are an entertainment channel which tries really hard to give even reviews for the things they test against by thinking very hard to consider each option to provide food for thought rather than an outright opinion.
They will talk about the reasons people might prefer either one without making it into a video which bashes either side.
Yeah the turbo makes more power, and way more torque.

i like how they are trying to argue the point, that the supercharger being belt-driven is why it will be able to compete with a turbo...
I'd rather a JRSC 1.6L over a rotrex.
