I think I'm in the right place for what I need. I just noticed there is a good section on fueling and controls and with all the experience here I should be able to get up to speed.

At any rate... the cleaning of these wheels takes a bit more effort than the valve cover, which is what started this topic. About once a year I pop them off the car, takes about 3 hours each for a polish and wax. Relatively speaking the valve cover is a piece of cake to keep clean.

I saw your intake setup on m.net a while back and we PM'd a couple times about it. Looks clean and its probably pretty functional. I called the folks at PRM and tried to get some straight answers from them about the filter material, longevity, pricing and dimensions of their units and they were like a bunch of sad, lost children. Not sure how they expect to stay in business when they don't have a list of available physical sizes? How hard is it to have a list of part numbers with dimensions on your website? :facepalm: It may work fine but without details its a $200 plastic tube with a cone filter of dubious origin in it, I'll pass, thanks.
I'm stealing/duplicating the intake Hornetball built for his Greddy: https://www.miataturbo.net/showpost....8&postcount=55 At least I know it'll meet my goals and I can get a replacement filter from K&N. Don't get me wrong, I do like your build, its excessively clean. I sold a JRSC MP45 to partially fund my Rotrex, still trying to figure out if I came out ahead :loser: |

The PRM folks are a bit odd especially considering the "envelope" is what sells the product and they don't make it easy to know what that is. I spent some time on the phone with them. I'm not sure if they are worried about somebody copying their design straight up or what (aka 6UL and that other company). Speaking of that I should probably pick up a spare unit for the long haul. Mine is already about 10 years old |
