863 bronze bushings @ Supermiata

I've said it before and I'll say it again, the level of thought and attention to detail on this kit is off the charts. I'm a big fan.
I like smooth bushes and I cannot lie,
You other racers can't deny,
That when a Miata drives in with an itty bitty fender gap,
And aggressive camber in your face,
You get sprung, want to pull and tweak,
'cause you noticed that poly squeak

I've put about 500 street miles on my kit since install, first track day on the new setup is in a few days. The car feels incredibly solid and way more refined from a street car perspective. Some low speed squeaks and creaks but that goes away when actually driving. Preliminary thoughts are that the kit is very, very good.

I can't comment on the specifics of the new kit - I have an orange kit I need to get changed out for black, but it is sitting on the shelf. I do have a DIY version using Energy bushings and FM Fox coilovers installed in my car.
I made a track day friend at work and we went out to lunch one day early in our friendship. He was surprised when it came up that my car is on coilovers and poly bushings, because the ride was compliant without any crazy stiff ride or impact harshness. It's comfortable enough to be the date night vehicle of choice, and my girlfriend has zero interest in cars.
I expect at some point I'll make donuts out of the bushing flange, at which point I'll install the SuperMiata kit. I've got no concerns recommending it to anyone that's remotely interested in competitive driving.

We've got these available again. For now the plan is for this to be the last batch we sell - it's kindof a pain. So if you want a set, order from this batch.
There's always a chance we change our minds, but it's not likely

Thank you for working on such an awesome kit. After going through installing an orange kit, getting everything aligned, and then the black kit coming out, uninstalling the orange kit, installing the black kit and breaking a few parts and getting some incredible service from supermiata, AND then getting things aligned again, I wouldn't hesitate to do all again on another miata if I ever got another one.
The black set definitely has a lot better labeling for an easier install. They're just super duper tight going in each hole!. Feels great!. Great job guys!

Ben,
We are looking at potentially doing a few upgrade kits. It's going to depend on stock and supplier MOQs. We will announce if we decide to do more upgrade kits.
Derek,
For now it would just be discontinuing.

As one of the ones that had a hard time with this upgrade kit, my vote is ,to keep making it. You have worked out the kinks, it is unique to the miata( only one other supplier makes it, with long wait times) and nothing else seems to work as well separating spring rate from suspension bind. Once I got it figured out I was good. Sorry if it was a pain , but it is still the best thing out there.

Plus it is easier removing the bushing than I thought. If you use a thin screw driver , push down the flange enough to tap it between the barrel of the control arm and the bushing it can-be pried out. Do this around 4 locations , and it comes out. Then you are able to replace brass pieces with minimal or no damage to the bushings if you are careful.

Correct. We sent them out to everyone who had problems with the original orange ones and they have since done way more time on the black ones with no damage. We are confident that issue is resolved.

So far my revised black bushings are doing great. I think 5 track days on them now and lots of daily driving, including over a mile of dirt everytime I take the car out. I just had the car on the lift and checked for play, none, and no signs of them being eaten up.
I am a bit concerned about the bronze inserts wearing out with the rough dirt road usage, particularly the washboard sections, but so far so good! Hopefully Supermiata will continue to stock those parts for maintenance in years to come.
