The Stewart Development Paradox - Where the heck are my shocks?
#281
Jason hit the nail on the head. If Bernie had just said from the beginning that it would take 3 months, i'd be 100% happy right now. Instead he told me false dates every week. Even that wasn't so bad. It was when I got the paypal shipping notification with a tracking number that I dismantled my car and sold my old springs/shocks thinking the new stuff was on its way. That pissed me off. Had I know the shocks wouldn't ship for 2 more months I would not have taken my car apart.
Again, if he'd just be honest and say "its gonna be 3 months" I dont think i'd be typing in this thread.

It's like that f*ing Wizard of Oz movie when the good witch tells Dorothy at the end that she had the power to go back home the whole time. Shoulda popped that bitch in the mouth.
No wait, I guess it isn't like that at all.

worth the wait is what someone who has given up says.....like a beaten down dog who was happy his abusive owner fed him this week.
Bernie's just as big of a dick as that ***** Russ.
Sorry...good product or not...screw SD. I've personally sent about 12 customers away from SD and will continue to do everything I can to lighten Bernie's work load.
what a load of crap. Bilstein got me my shocks in about 4-6 weeks and it only cost me about $300-340 shipped both ways. They seem to work fine on track And they answer the phone.

I didn't really have to wait all that long. And after talking to Bernie a well as my tunerfab guy who used top live and work in sc, the fact that I have socks on my car that were done by someone if his caliber makes me happy. Sure he is no good at time lines and getting stuff for us regular people done on time but when we are getting pushed side because he is doing socks for nascar and porsche cup teams I can deal with it.

Yeah that I agree with. In my profession (well former) aa motorcycle service advisor ifa customers bike is not going to be done when I said it was, calling abd just telling then you ran into problems or had an issue goes along way and 90% of tge time they are fine with it and happy with the update. If I didn't say anything and they came to pick it up and it wasnt ready you can imagine what kind of hell would be risen
Honesty goes along way.

I apologize for the lack up an update as I was on holidays, but the shocks did ship, they did arrive at my shipping center, the box was opened and my people sent me pics of the 4 shocks that were inside.
So why did I say "Maybe"??
Well it took so damn long to get the shocks back that the BMW I was supposed to put them is no longer in my possession... so I have no way to test if these shocks provide that gel sole cush ride as promised.
Maybe tomorrow I'll get the car back...
