I'm going to the local shock shop to see if they'll do my bilsteins, if not I'm calling Bernie.

Has anybody talked/got email from Bernie recently? I ordered my shocks and made payment a month ago, but I can't get hold of him for the last few weeks. Started making me a bit nervous. If he is on vacation or something, that's ok but no communication for over 2 weeks isn't right in my book.

I spoke with Bernie yesterday morning. Apparently he's been very busy moving, and so hasn't been answering his phone or email or returning calls until - for me - yesterday. If it's important, he will get back to you; like when he's ready to ship your shocks.

I think he runs a small shop, and sometimes the reality of that is that work takes precedence over communication. I suppose he could do a better job answering the phone, or writing emails, but then the work would slip further behind.

I wouldn't be at all nervous about Bernie. My experience, and those of others who have posted about him, have all been very positive. I can say he went far beyond what was necessary to ship my shocks FedEx at great expense to himself ($118!!!). He didn't have to do that, and I didn't expect it, but he did it anyway. He's an upstanding man, but you do have to be patient.

Don't worry, he's a super legit business. I wouldn't worry about it for a second...really.

Thanks for quick reply, guys. I don't worry about him being not legit or dishonest or anything, but because of the economy and his shop being small, I did worry about him going under or having tough time financially. But now, I can just relax and wait. I have other projects that I should work on for the time being.

I apologize to everyone for the last few weeks. Less than 2 days after finishing with an IRS audit, I was evicted from my apartment due to an altercation with a neighbor. Needless to say, it's been hell trying to keep everything together. This past weekend I was able to move into a new home, and hope to get both the personal and business details sorted within the week. I appreciate everyone's patience and hope to continue doing business with you guys.

Any thoughts on running 450/325 Ground Controls on the Stewart revalve for my daily? I have to do something quickly and that's either buy another set of stock springs and run Bilsteins and have the car beat me to death or revalve them.

Thoughts?

Going to send my shocks to Bernie tomorrow to have them shortened and revalved.

I was about to send them to Bilstein to do the work but after reading that they do a coarse revalve I'm glad there are shops that do a more fine job.

What springs are you running, and what did you request with regard to damping curves?

Sorry for the vague post as I cut/pasted it from another reply.

The shocks will be going on a BMW e30 so my data wouldn't be useful.

Hey, Hustler, sorry I let your post slip though the cracks. Here's something to consider:
