The GS is intended to be a good all-around shock that rides very well and is fully capable of track days. the 550/350 rates will let it do that. If they're going to pick ONE rate for a pre-assembled coilover, that's the best combo to offer.

The GS will be a few hundred dollars less than the equivalent XL, primarily from swapping the pro level Hyperco springs with much less expensive standard private label springs. The 550/350 still ride great, but retain enough roll stiffness for ocassional track or autocross use. If ride quality is job one then spend a little more for the XL and go with the softer rates

About 6 months too late for me. Oh well. I need to spin my set up a bit more. They settled in at 4-3/8" front and that is a bit lower than I want.

The want is very, very real for those GS. What a great buy.

I did 300/200 after chatting with E about it a couple of weeks ago. Going for max cush. Putting the shocks and electronics in tonight, probably will test drive tomorrow. I'll have it at MRLS

Dan has sort of talked me into the 300/200. Then I read more online. I am sort of stuck using my 15x9's 6UL due to your BBK. So I figure I am always going to have 225 tires on the car of some sort. So based on that I figured the higher spring rates should be more then fine. If I think they are not comfy enough, I can always get the lower rate springs and swap them in easily. My current 700/400 Xida's feel great, so I am having a hard time thinking that I won't find the 550/350 to be more then good enough.

Mannnnn, just as I sell my own personal Miata y'all finally come up with a suspension that I'd most likely find comfortable AND well performing.

I am now looking forward to you getting some Ace's. That way I can have money ready for you inevitably part everything out and I can snag a second set for cheap.

300/200, stock sway bars. About 5.7" pinch weld. 205/50 Maxxis VR-1 on 15x8.

Much excite!

BTW do Tractive use the Bilstein Damptronic valve or something else they've developed?

MRLS was fun. We had been behind on car prep for the last 2 months or so, John bought a house! So we were scrambling to get cars ready. Only Snoopy made it but it had the wrong ACE controller. The Race controller can go full stiff but only about half soft. So it's permanently in "Sport" mode. Production kits get the full range "Street" controller with bigger control steps. The "Race" controller made it great on track but a tad "busy" on the street loop we laid out. So we just had it on track all weekend. That uncovered the surreal grip the thing had. NB2 club sport with full stock interior, stock sway bars, 300/200 springs Xida ACE, 205 Maxxis VR1's on 15x8 6UL. Built PTE motor making around 150whp 5 spd 4.3. Yeah it was like the 6th fastest car there. Completely and utterly unflappable handling. More body roll that a race car but about half the roll of a stock suspension. And just endless grip. Felt like it had 225 Rival-S, not 205 VR1's So much fun to drive.

Since the other cars didn't make it, we threw a quick and dirty air dam/splitter on Bullet and hooned that too.

I can't wait to get mine in. I need to get my car into the garage and the SuperMiata clutch swapped in along with my QMax reroute. Then have it ready just to receive those ACE's and get on the road
