Pretty hefty pull required on NA for Maxxis 245/10, but they will fit. Just a flat roll on an NB. Hoosier 245/40 is another animal though.

A 245 RC1 fits on my NA just fine if you use 9" wheels. Has rolled fenders and slight pull in the front.

They are no larger than a 225 Hoosier on 9" wheels...

Jeez, I'll see if I have enough beer on hand to take a whack at my freshly painted fenders and make them fit...if we have any 10s left over.

Worst case I might try a 245 set for giggles on 9s.

Just noticed they've listed the tire up on the website. I figure things must be getting close then.

Fingers crossed!

A new week has started, and no announcement to be seen. Here's hoping I can get 205's before my first race on the 20th...

You guys forget that this is standard operating procedure for Maxxis.

Look at how many missed dates there are for the RC1 release, look at how long it took for contingency tires to ship (up to 6 months) etc etc

I would disregard any release dates they publish for their products in the track day arena.

Looking forward to the VR-1 but not holding my breath.

Sorry for the delay. We're waiting for one thing to reach our warehouse before we can announce the release date.

I'm sorry your experience hasn't been great in the past. We're really working hard to improve the process. Feel free to message me if you have any trouble.

Can you tell we are excited?

Last season I just ran my 3-year old S.Drives, since it was my first auto-x season and I wasn't going to be competitive anyway. This year I'd like to be able to compare my times with others in the class. Only tire I seem to be able to source locally is the RE-71R, but I'd rather have a tire that doesn't cord backing down the driveway.

Default my 1st post!

anxiously awaiting for these things to be released. I need some street tires that fill out my flares for my 949 15x10's. Just got my 15x11's and mounted 275/35/15 R7. I bet maxxis web traffic has picked up quite a bit here lately.

On Facebook they replied to a comment stating the VR-1 will be released 3/28. Too late for me.

My consolation: Costco is doing $70 of a set of Bridgestones this month. RE-71R here I come!
