Default WTB: 1.8L driver rear caliper AND bracket

Dear friends, minions, and ex-lovers,

I'm in desperate need of a new rear caliper for the driver side. In an attempt to replace the slider pin that was obviously bent on my bracket, the damn thing broke off when I swung the caliper up. It will not budge from the caliper and I doubt it will be worth the time/effort extracting the rest from the bracket.

so in the least I need a new caliper, but I think I really need both.

I'm able to offer a little bit of cash and a lot of love, so please low-ball me.

Love,

Brain.

I love when that happens. I've had it happen on mx6's protege's and 626's. All have the same rear caliper/pin design. I have a caliper and brand new pins, no good on the bracket though.

It made me sad panda. I'll keep that in mind.

I think I need to replace the bracket, as I'd assume that if that bolt was going to unscrew easy it would have started to unscrew instead of snap in half; so attempting to extract it seems like a waste of effort.

Non sport. I still have 1.6 calipers but non sport brackets for the 94-01 I guess. I don't think it really matters, so long as I get a regular 1.8L caliper and regular bracket.

I was hoping someone with the upgraded sport rears or track brakes had a spare caliper and bracket.

yeah see failure:

the slider will NOT come out.

and the rest is stuck in the bracket, i doubt it will extract easy, but I do have a replacement slider pin to screw in.
