Just for a reference my old E-MotorUSA 2870 had the standard 5 bolt flange. It fit perfectly on my begi setup, it just spooled super shitty. I know TurboTim has the turbo now. If you are looking for something cheap you might want to contact him. I don't think he is ever going to end up using it.

I was tempted by the "nice n cute" one, but it's not internal wastegate. They're probably all too huge. Remember, I want 200hp right now, with "easy" room for 250-275

uHHH OMG you are making me sad

Just buy a used 2 bolt tial for $150 and abe can make you a dump.

http://www.himni-racing.com/index.ph...oducts_id=1922

That is 46mm inducer. Will spool faster than 2871. Nice big A/R turbie housing. T4 divided goodness if you want to get a twinscroll manifold. Yes it can probably do 350hp but it will also be great at 200hp and you can run all the timing.

I can't believe it. Nicencute is FOURHUNDRED DOLLARS. HOW CAN U SAY NO

Cause nicencute is actually $440 shipped +$150 for the wastegate. $590 is not $300 MAX.

What's the process you went through to get refunded, Curly?

I've decided not to use the chinacharger when it will require a large amount of fabrication to use. My time is too valuable to ---- around with it.

Dunno yet, they're shut down on weekends.

It doesn't take a lot of fab work, abe could have done it easily, but I wanted it compatible with other Garretts and I wanted a separated gas downpipe.

Yippie. I'm going to have a $150 turbo and be happy. If I had a $500 I'd most likely be sad and depressed.

I'm turning this into a build thread. Because I can! It'll be a place for me and Abe to dump pictures and such. Hopefully it'll end up as a budget turbo system that's track reliable, for others to follow suit.

The $65 T25 is here, as soon as I figure out which rebuild kit I need then that'll be on the way. Return shipping label has been forwarded to Abe, that was a fail but oh well.

Cold side intercooler piping is done, including my unconventional BOV placement.

Hot side is mocked up, I haven't cut the 90* pipe to length yet, as I'll have to figure that out once the manifold gets here. At least I can cut some holes in my ducting.

And my proposed filter location, obviously not cut down yet.

Ugh@Back to back posts, but how did you talk them into taking the turbo back Curly?

Their latest suggestion is to "engore the [t25] flange" to mount the chinacharger, which I assume means to grind out the t25 flange instead of refunding me.

I called them. They answered after 3 rings, i said I bough it on eBay, and it didn't fit a standard t25 flange. "ok so it's a fitment problem?"
"yup"
And that was the conversation. She emailed me a return slip which I forwarded to Abe. It's up in the air as to when I get my money back.
