I'm hesitant to add one more spot to leak and take Abe's quality fab work and attention to detail away from the wastegate flapper area.
Also, replace that nut. The nylon won't last long.

Thanks, I'll measure mine when I take it off, probably some time closer to when you might be done with my setup, and I'll tell you if I need you to throw in an extra flange.
I like it's particular characteristics, but I don't like that's it's old, can't be swapped out so easily for better spool or more power, it's not water cooled, etc etc. It's not worth the time and money when for an older unit.

If you're not ready to shell out money for baller T2 turbos, I would absolutely go T3. The "legit" T2 turbos are retarded expensive, but the ebay ones always fall short on power.
T3 will give you access to a plethora of different turbos for all horsepower ranges and the prices are 1/2 and sometimes a 1/3 less.

You will be hard pressed to find a "proper" GT2860rs from Chinaland.

Curly finally stepping up to the plate. Nice job man!
I think I sold my Greddy kit off in parts and did OK. I recouped the most money on the FM parts though.
Another big +1000 for Abe! I'll probably hit him up again for a new exhaust soon. Then I'll be selling this 3" enthuza dual setup I have.

What about this one?
http://www.ebay.com/itm/New-Design-T...item3f0441846f
And Hustler, I think I did find a 2860RS, no?
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Godspeed-T25...item58920f0cde
At least they match up with Garrett's specs to the best of my knowledge.

Does Renown performance still have that T28 for sale in their thread? Its specs are pretty much a 2871.
Both of those are closer to GT2560 specs, but they at least have .86 A/R turbine.
What I don't like about the 2nd one is you'd still need a flange for the inlet/outlet of the compressor.....more money.
This one is pretty decent, only thing I wish it had was .86 turbine A/r, but I'm pretty sure there's a churbo that has 70/71mm compressor with .86 AR, just can't find it at the moment

nothing really wrong with .64 A/R though, just depends on what you'er going for.

T3 is fine, but you're gonna want a small T3, as far as T3 frames go. Compare that tubine wheel to one of the T25 ones... 53mm vs 63mm, big diff. Without referencing, that's probably closer to 3071...probably bigger than what you want. Braineack is running a small 53 china....I forget the ddetails but its posted. I think I recall seeing clos512 oor whatever his name is, is running small T<e as well. If you think you'd wanna go bigger later, getting T3 now not a terrible idea (think bigger than 2871 or 350whp). T25 definitely more common around here....id probably just go with that for a little 1.8. Before I got my garrett I had the speedyracer honda 2870..I think if you search 2870 it comes up on ebay. Pretty good specs an reletively low wg spring pressure. Another proven one that's similar is the godspeed GT28.....86 AR too, only thing I didn't like was it advertised 14psi wg actuator, I think. Writing from my phone so just going off the top of my head, and forgive my typos.

Like so? Hopefully the mobile web link works. I do like that one, especially with the wastegate on the turbine housing.

Ok, I've ordered my turbo.
I ignored all of you, but will wait until I officially measure it to tell you the sizes. Preliminary guesses put it at about a 2871 with a .86 A/R.
