Doesn't the stock downpipe from the MSM include the cat? I want to say you need the entire exhaust if you want it to mate up to ur existing one.

You can bolt your stock down pipe right to the turbo outlet. The MSM stuff isn't any better. In fact they sell a replacement turbo outlet and down pipe on eBay for hela cheap and it is totally worth it. We used it on my dads NB and it made a huge difference. What's the rest of your exhaust like? You'll want at least a 2.5" exhaust with a high flowing muffler. You also need the Msm water pump inlet or you're going to have to modify your stock one.

Complete set of piping and couplers.
BOV.
Injectors.
Gauges.
Water/Oil lines.
Clutch.
PCV Valve.
Oil.
Radiator fluid (unless you plan to refill what you drain).

For the cost of the VoodoBox and Timing wheel, it'd be the same price to buy a used Xede. You're going to be limited to about 7psi... maybe 8psi if you don't mind a bit of leanness on the topend (YOU DO). And you have to hack the **** out of your factory wiring harness to install it. My advice is don't **** around with a Voodoo Box. They're ******* $400. Get a used Xede.

The Voodoo box is very easy to install, but I agree. If you're not getting it super cheap then get an Xede.

used xedes are not common at all. And they suck.

my advice is everything Sam mentioned minus the crappy xede. adaptronic will get the job done gloriously

I am doing a 04 MSM turbo install on my 96.
The biggest problems I have had so far was finding the MSM water inlet (I have extra one if you need it) and figuiring out what fittings I need for the oil and water feed/return. If you can get as many of these parts from the place you are getting the turbo stuff. Even if you can't directly use them on your setup, it will make it alot easier to figuire out what Mazda did to make it work.
I am using Megasquirt for fueling and will be using the MSM downpipe for now with a modded race pipe to mate the MSM downpipe with NA catback.
