injector install advice needed- cranking PW%
Ok so I have searched for a couple hours on this here, in megamanual, and searching for TS info, but cant figure it all out. Some of this is just double-checking, some may have an obvious answer I'm missing, but here goes...
I am ready to install my 460's, and I calculated my reqfuel to be 57.6%, giving 7.48 (13.0 is where I am currently)
Step One) Under basic setup > engine constants, change the 13.0 to 7.48?
I have read that accel enrichment should be scaled by the same percent also, this make sense since it is a percent, and the same percent on a larger injector will supply more "enrichment"
Step two) Under Startup/Idle > ASE Percentage, multiply the percentages by .576?
I have read that accel enrich must be adjusted, but havn't found how...
Step three) Under accel enrich > acceleration wizard, multiply these bottom-right numbers to 57%?
Cranking PW must be changed, and reading up on that I've found a huge range of suggested PW's, but all in milliseconds... I can only find my Cranking PW's in a percentage, which is pretty much a straight line from -20 to 195 degrees F, 326 to 101 percent PW...
Step four) decrease these percentages by .576 factor? Where's my actual PW besides a log?
Last question, do I need to mess with the warmup enrichment also?
THANKS TUNING GODS

ha it's just too easy! Scaled it to 7.5, started up, went for a nice autotune/log session, and it drives better than it did before! If I knew anything about tuning and was brave enough, this would be even more fun.

I went out and checked the resistance on the injectors. They all checked out fine, 15 ohms. I used a screwdriver to listen to the injector clicks. They all click. But the sounds are different. Injector 1+4 is louder than the other two injectors. Is this normal?
At idle it is kinda rough. If I rev it up with my hands on the throttle cable the engine gets smoother. Yet when I drive it, it's rough.
Maybe I should start a new thread?

I'd help you if i could, but im more of a noob than you so my advice is to tune, or go back to your stockers and get that tune more reliable first... If your stock injectors were flowing poorly maybe it threw off your VE numbers
