Default Crank still usable?

Long story short. I had been reusing my old crank bolt and because of that it has been loosen up until It finally broke the boss pulley and pulley pin.

The damage:
boss pulley is gone: https://www.dropbox.com/s/4flgpu3226...017_173230.jpg
little wear in crank keyway: https://www.dropbox.com/s/3d9lb00ka9...017_182719.jpg
but not so much?: https://www.dropbox.com/s/akw9ualjss...017_182750.jpg

So would you get new crank or use that old one still (with new woodruff pulley key)?

Crank is usable. Pulley is not.

Might want to fill in the space in the keyway with JB Weld if you feel it is too loose.

I had some similar damage on a previous motor, perfect key alignment, jb weld, new timing cog and pulley boss and put it back together.

Be sure to get a new crank bolt and loctite it at 130ftlbs, after that you should be fine.

muoto, it looks like you caught it in time!

Like the others said, should be good with a new pulley boss, key and crank bolt.

The crank key way on my car was in far worse condition when I got it. Even so, it was salvageable without changing the crank by using a custom adapter flange, key and crank bolt.
