Default d0r1fto placement advice

from what ive seen its a divided house when it comes to dorifto cars (pretty sure thats what you folks call it, still kinda new) but how many of you are running hydraulic handbrakes (i already have an ASD waiting to go in once my Zerek Fab dual caliper rear knuckles come in the mail)? and how did you folks who are running them decide to mount them up (placement-wise). ive seen a couple ways but need more ideas to base mine off of or copy someone else's good idea. also any recommendations on where to run the line and to use a hard line or braided steel etc.?

P.S. i have already google searched multiple times and only things that come up are people who chop their 240sx dashes and center consoles up. nothing about miatas except a guy from NZ who welded a mount bracket to his trans tunnel. got a problem? PM me and we can talk it out in a civil manner

Methinks you'd have better luck at CR with this query.

I mounted mine right in the middle of my seat. I sit on it, and then activate it by squeezing my sphincter. I get really good feedback from the mounting location, and it helps me get precise entries.

One more thread like this, or another retarded comment like the one I infracted you for, and you leave permanently.

that is all.

you shall not pollute this forum with your retardation

So, are you asking where to put the hydraulic fluid reservoir?

Do what that guy in NZ did, put it on the trans tunnel, as long as it doesn't interfere with your arm or shifting properly.

IIRC there was another guy on here, he recently parted his car out, was a full drift car, big turbo... his was also mounted on the trans tunnel.

Oh, if you are looking for where to put a water bottle, I'd suggest a camelback that's ziptied to your roll bar.

is your ASD vertical? it is tough to mount a hydro in these cars. There is not much room which is why i mounted the master on bracket to the rear of the trans tunnel with a linkage up to the lever that was mounted to front left of the shifter. I had to reinforce the shifter hole and surrounding sheet metal because it all flexed when i pulled it.

you may be better making a dedicated mount the the passenger side of the trans tunnel and angle the lever so you pull towards you.

we need a drifting lives matters group on here.......

why target me? im still new but i do my research beforehand and always have. and whats this "retardation" you speak of? granted im still in the early phases where im trying to figure out the etiquete and ive seen some STUPID **** on this forum yet i dont see you harassing them, but i get flagged over a simple comment related to drifting that actually pertained to the thread? i dont get it, i picked this over ClubRicer because i felt it has a better atmosphere and i love seeing people getting clowned on (ricelands with 15x11 diamond steelies wrapped with 195s stance fuckboys) for their retardation and thought to myself, "hey, im into miatas because i like this alot better than what ive seen of the honda crowd, and i actually track my car and enjoy driving it hard as do these people who share similar interests, i guess ill stay loyal to this forum" yet youre showing me its not like that at all. yes i slide my car because its fun. big deal. i ask legitimate questions, i dont come at anyone sideways out of respect even when theyre in the wrong (and most of the time its people who flame the "i just bought this miata yesterday and want to boost it on 15 pounds for less than $500 and make 400whp" idiots so i just laugh and keep to myself. you have a problem with something i say? pm me and lets talk about it in a civil manner. you want to continue to be a child? go ahead and keep it up and i wont be coming back (i know it wont matter to you anyway whether i stop coming back or you permanently remove me) and i'll find another forum to network with fellow owners on. and the only reason i even bothered to type this out is because im still transiting back to the states and dont have anything better to do. so whatever you decide mr moderator is how its gonna go down. have a splendid evening

yes its a vertical lever, do you ever have any issue with your knee/thigh area hitting it or is it not too noticable? thats my main concern. my concern for the passenger side of the trans tunnel is the same except for the passenger and its an awkward angle for me to pull from so i might just suck it up and mock something up on my side. still open to new ideas though

and as for the drifting lives matters group, we really do need one. or just need to start our own forum or subsection here. im already sick of the harassment i get because i like sliding my car, makes me so happy to serve the country these people live in

With that setup there was noting for me to hit my knee on.

Don't expect anything drifting related on this forum, die hard road racers here. I wish Roadster Drift would come back.

Drifting is already stupid and gay enough, and you had to go and mention drifting on public roads in the other thread, so you get the retardation award.
This forum is about making cars faster, not figure skating. If you're gonna talk about figure skating, keep it in this thread alone, no more new threads or subsections.

You can cry about d0r1fto oppression/hate in the political section. I think they have threads there for the like of you.

*edit:

actually, I'll let you stay and have this thread because you're serving this country, and I think that is really cool. Now you have less to cry about.

drive your car into a wall.

placement of retard stick doesnt matter -- results will be the same.

Well, according to this instructional video, using an "E" brake, aka, emergency brake, to drift is the easiest.

then you power over.

If you have enough power over, 900000 g/m for example, there is no need to handbrake, just pop that clutch.
