The way I already do PID in EGO is timed in sync with ignition events. I will likely do something similar for VVT. I will do whatever is needed to avoid P, I, and D curves.

For CLT, I will probably start with a position to lock it to and a temperature at which to enable the use of the table.

Forgot to mention, we are also planning on adding a 'warmup modifier' table that lets you modify the WUE curve based on load x rpm. This should also allow you to tune with a different VVT position during warmup compared to running.
